23-05-12, 10:52 GMT+10#41 i remember way back when p-platers in v8 commodores were getting done for power to weight even though the tare weight recorded by manufacturers and by vicroads made them legal. the police had a different list and went by that.
anyway point is if you are driving a vlt on p-plates you are still open to harrasment. i was pulled over wekly

Vicroads havnt updated there database it should be updated soon with all the cars that are legal a vl turbo berlina wagon has always been legal. The only problem is the manufacture plate which states the power to mass like the new fg ecoboost falcons isn't on vls so its a bit of a pickle time will tell I gues end of the day its a vl ull get done for something

Maybe they assume all P plates are too incompetent to have another task of driving manual when there already struggling to control the 140ish kilowatts of the turbo?

11-06-12, 00:10 GMT+10#56 LOL these laws have always been like this. then again dont drive something suss as f uck and you wont get touched, P platers need to decide between looks and power, all you need is a clean vlt without gay chrome rings and a cooler hanging out the front and you wont get touched, let alone control your driving and you'll be sweet.

22-07-12, 03:49 GMT+10#57 ^^ Not really. My vl is as stock as they come, everything on th exterior is standard its just a really clean car. Im fully lisenced, dont have a bad record and i still get pulled over everytime a cop is behind me. I ask "why?" they say "you drive a vl".
