A SC member made contact and offered me a part that is no doubt very hard to find. It needs some work but stoked as to get offered it.
Also the 90 degree speedo drive turned up.

Yes. The police over in S.A have been really good considering it is classed under a 'civil offence'.
Got a few engine mods to do to get things running right.

Nice! Looks like the exact same setup I had in mine?

Snap! Hahaha. I'm hoping I can get my painter to colour match the whole console.
Hey where is your old Rep these days? Do you know if much else has been done to it? I've still got the NZV8 magazine with it in. Insperation for me to work towards a magazine feature.

02-08-12, 09:30 GMT+10#50 The new owner called me last year to get the paint code as he was tidying up the front bar. Doesn't sound like he's done any more to it other than a bit of a tidy up - the guy who bought it off me didn't really look after it from what I understand. It just needed a boost increase as it was only running 6psi when I sold it. Your cars coming along nicely though, it will be mag worthy in no time

02-08-12, 15:39 GMT+10#51 Why did the Walkinshaw have bolts in the shifter surround? It kinda looks like a bodge job!

Walkinshaw's ran a T5G gearbox. The T5G has a shallower bellhousing and shorter input shaft. So the gear lever came through the floor further forward. It would have been easy for HSV to make some console surrounds to suit the factory holden centre console. Remember it was the 80's they were made. Lol.

04-08-12, 13:06 GMT+10#53 Going to go a little lower and increase the spring rate a little in the front (KHFL-47SSL).. Going to have a bit of extra weight in the engine bay.
Got some rears (KHPR-SSL) coming to.
Will be selling the King Springs that are currently fitted (KHPHL-47SL- Front KHPR-20HD- Rear).

08-08-12, 19:25 GMT+10#54 Genuine Walkinshaw door trims showed up from Melbourne today. Need a good clean and some minor repairs and a partial retrim. Also opted for some Nolathane adjustable strut top mounts due to the ridiculous price of originals. New KYB shocks to fit (would have loved Bilsteins but out of the price bracket at this stage) with the springs and new bump stops and boots to come.
