I've read the whole thread an boys very good points have been made an as stated alot of us do it for the love of the cars it's our passion I've got mates that piss up all there money, got mates that put it up there nose each to there own the sad thing is there is a minority of toss bags that do ruin it for everyone for example I LOVE GT's XY's to be specific an these 2 nuts GT's stop at the lights in Brighton an literally smoked the entire bay st like a bushfire was happening (it was an insane burnout) But c'mon man on a strip that's full of cafE's where ppl an family's are eating of course there's gonna be an uprising, in all honesty I am by no means perfect an have done a few wrong things on the road however not in a suburban street, and not on one of the most popular strips of rd in Syd. Now we do however get targeted (stereotyped) one time went to dinner with the mrs in wollongong at outback steak house an there was an RBT on the opposite side of the rd wen we were leaving my car made the tiniest of tiny flutters this bloke starts throwing whitches hats in the boot an takes off after me followed me for 5km (not exaggerating) Then tells me random breath test an starts saying your cars got a blow off valve, excuse me but didn't u say random breath test?? An so random that he followed me for 5 f uken km? I think not anyway throwing wild accusations I go look officer the cars pretty much standard which it was accept for the usual, exhaust cooler dose pipe etc An he said an I quote "IVE WAS A MECHANIC FOR 15YRS IF U WANNA FU KEN PLAY THE GAME LET'S PLAY POP THE BONNET AN GET OUT" my attitude instantly reflected his An he tried to pump me an started writing defects personally I'm not a fan of coppers They carry on like they were deprived the boob as kids lol But it works both ways.

Why do engineers even exist then seems pretty pointless making modifications legal when they are not according to the cops Soon we will all be riding push bikes or catching public transport the way society carrys on

No, people will start getting smarter and not running bonnet cables anymore... cops cant write a defect list for things they cant see. Minor defect "bonnet release inoperable" Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

^^ So they, the whole police force, should only do one thing at a time eh? "No rbt tonight there's been a murder in the state's north so every cop is on that until it's solved"

I never planned on engineering any of my cars, just dont get caught. If you see flashing lights, well, thats what that huge un-engineered turbo you installed is for! (jokes)

2 points, none of us are innocent, and police are as dodgy as every other drug dealer, have tought my children that just because they have a badge doesn't mean they are good people! it's just a job, and u can have good and bad workers, and police are no different! so alway always be careful what u say to a police offiercer and that they are not always right, and not to get tricked or scared cause they say i'm a police officer u have to do what your told! (they even have an add up here in darwin regarding that exact issue) I think u have to look at this way, if u are getting picked on u have been reported doing stuff wrong, i was getting targeted constantly , it was rediculous, i couldn't even reverse out of the drive way, (all be it with a locked diff) found out the next door neighbour was complaining, ringing the police every morning when i left for work, saying i was doing skids up the road! was rediculous, but it only takes one or two people to make complaints about you to a police station, everyone is notified and then it's on for young and old, Also another point, don't make formal complaints about officers, your life will be hell from that point forward, and targetted even harder! but was fun going to the obidsmon! also if u talk back to an officer and don't open your bonnet, he can smack u in the neck with a torch! true story! there aloud to do what's necessary with in limits to control a situation, have the obidsman report to prove it hate them all and hope all traffic cops get cancer and die a terrible death Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

It's funny how it all works. One of my mates that got targeted by police, to the point where he was getting pulled over every day. Complained, ended up reporting him and taking it further as well. But the reason the cop was after my mate to begin with, was that the cop had seen him driving like an idiot constantly (lived next door to another mate) So the cop would be at home watering his lawn or something, and here we were in reverse at ridiculous speeds all the way until we'd left the estate. And if we weren't in reverse, we'd be going ridiculously quick and leaving black marks at the end of it. My mate WAS an idiot, and the cop paid for it. Not my mate. Now, here we are 10 years later, and my mate still drives like a wanker, running red lights with his kid in the back, speeding and what not. He needed the wake up call when he was younger. I don't care if you don't believe the cops, the amount of things that you don't have to do. But if you comply, and respect them. I don't see how people run into these problems. Respect for f*cks sake, nobody respects them anymore, I'm not surprised they're starting to bust skulls.

i'd like to add, when a police officer of the law, is being polite etc, i will be polite and respect full, when he starts his conversation to me with, this p.o.s shouldn't be aloud on the road, i sort of loose all respect and in turn, switch off! he's not paid to be a prick, he's paid to be on his best behaviour and trained to control all situations! if he can't, go get a job as a security guard at a disco!

Respect for f*cks sake, nobody respects them anymore, I'm not surprised they're starting to bust skulls. Respect is a two way street and it's earnt. Most people I know with modified cars start out all friendly when they get pulled over and then it soon turns nasty because of the way they're spoken to initially. If they get out of the car, greet you nicely and chat to you like you're a human being then in most cases things end all right. When you get someone yelling, swearing and treating you like **** then it's never going to end well. I've got plenty of stories about times I've been treated like **** by a hero in a badge who thinks that because theyre a police officer theyre a god but then again I recently got pulled over for an RBT. They whipped out the tester, brethoe'd me and asked what I was up to today. Returned a 0.00 reading and they said 'have a good one'. That's the kind of police we need. The ones that are there to do the right thing, not to try to screw everyone over for every little reason they can... and in the end it's for no real gain anyhow.
