I just spent five years building a VL SL with HDT kit and the day I went to rego it, it developed a slight miss, you can only struggle on and replace plugs, afm etc and eventually you delete the gremlins, nobody said messing with a 25 year old efi car was easy, lucky parts can be sourced cheap.

Yeah man. he has just bought a rb30et with all the parts ready to be put together except for a fuel system. t66, forgies, worked head with a cam. all bearings, gaskets etc.. should be good when its all together.

Owning a VL can be a love hate relationship. After selling my beloved VL 7 years ago it was a relief that I no longer owned a car that needed ongoing attention. I've always missed it, so no now I've bought another that needs HEAPS of work. I know I am a glutton for punishment..

I'm up for a cruise sometime, just send a post around. Slowly starting to see a few more VL's in Cairns again, which is good. Started to think i was the only one for a while there. I hate it when you get window tint scratched and you don't remember that being there, always try to keep an eye on your car when being worked on, some people lead resentful lives.
