Okay so pulled the motor out yesterday.. Its definatly worse than i thought, hah number 4 piston is melted into the shape of an egg, an therefore totaled the bore and number 2 has smashed the tip off the spark plug and was just smashin metal inbetween the pistom and the head so the heads f****d and so is the bottom end. So new motor it is.. Guess thats what happens when try and run a lot of boost through a stock motor??

Me if i was in your situation, especially being the drive home id be getting me money back or at least some of it to cover the cost of putting the new engine in mate, people like this annoy the %$^# out of me. Also i have 2 Na S2 Rb30s one with 160000ks and one with 200000ks sitting here but they are still in car but complete id nearly let ya have one if you remove it mate, but im in Bairnsdale. okay, good and bad news. got the motor in yesterday had it runnin beautiful took it for a drive ran okay needs a tune but was runnin, pulled up in the driveway got out of the car closed the door and as soon as the door closed, car shut off? im guessin its a wire somewere? because now i turn the ignition on an the fuel pump dosent kick in? so maybe a wire running to it.. trying to find it but talking about unlucky....

That sucks man, what mods did the vl have when you bought it? How much boost etc was it running, and was it tuned? Did you turn up the boost or anything on the way home? And did you test drive it before you bought it, seems very unlucky for it to just completely blow on the way home. If I ever buy a modified car i always make the owner drive it "reasonably" hard for me when im in the car, to prove all it good with the tune and the mechanicals.
