15-04-11, 00:54 GMT+10#41 When my engine was first built, forgies etc, even on 7psi with a 35/40 and standard size breathers, it filled up the catchcan after a 5 minute flogging.
Took the rocker cover off installed 3/4 brassfittings and hose, not a problem ever again, running heaps more boost, not a drop...

15-04-11, 15:55 GMT+10#44 20w 50 is the oil in the engine atm.
I checked the PCV and that seems to be operating normally, when l blow in the hose to the PCV is blows nice and smoothly and when l suck the valve it closes.
Today l decided to connect both rocker cover hoses to the catch can and that has seemed to solve the oil blowby problem.
I blocked off the plenum PCV valve with a bung in front of the hose. Gave it a little stick and noticed the can wasn't filling up which was a good sign.
Now its off to the dyno to check afr's and timing and see how much boost l can run safely.
Checked with Dave today and he showed me there are 2 tomei oil restrictors (1.5mm in size) put in place in the pic below. At this stage its all looking goog and the vac is on - 21 :Also: . So basically connecting the front rocker cover hose to the catch can solved my oil blow by problem, running like a beast now
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

23-05-11, 15:02 GMT+10#52 I have exactly the same problem with my VL i only just rebuilt the engine less then 500kms so im assuming its not the engine itself.
Just a question if your turbo has had it how can this pressurise your sump???
And ive read a few forums where they have said that to much oil can cause oil to come out of the top rear breather hose on the rocket cover so exactly in litres what would be the right amount of oil to have in the car???

19-09-11, 07:01 GMT+10#54 Took the filler cap off the rocker cover and l noticed the engine is breathing very hard, it's like a smoke show does that mean my piston rings are gone?

20-09-11, 16:19 GMT+10#55 2x -10 rocket cover to catch can
1x -10 catch can to top level sump
2x -10 rocket cover to intake side of sump
or
2 x -10 rocket cover to catch can
1 x -10 catch can to intake side of sump - acts like breather
2 x - 10 rocket cover to sump
smooth

20-09-11, 18:13 GMT+10#56 Does that mean 2x10 rocker cover to catch can, 1 to catch can to top level sump? Where is top level sump? Then what do you mean by 2x rocker cover to intake of sump? Is that another 2 hoses total of 5 hoses?

20-09-11, 22:35 GMT+10#58 Hi mate,
can I get a pic as to where to put the hose from catch can to block? I would appreciate your help. When you take your cap off is your engine breathing hard?
---------- Post added 21-09-11 at 21:42 ----------
Would it make any difference where l connect the hose in front or rear of rocker cover to sump?
Could l please see pics of where it is connected on the sump.
Thanks heaps!

02-10-11, 23:16 GMT+10#59 Just a quick question, now thinking of running another hose from rocker cover to drain hose of the turbo? Can l just t piece the oil drain hose from rocker cover instead of drilling a hole into the sump?
