OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's so.... spotless!!.. (except for a few bumps on the bumpers, but still!)
put a cover over it n keep it locked up somewhere.. and in like 10 years, my comment will have double the exclamation marks!!

everyone saying leave it stock, why?. Nothing is more boring to drive than an NA auto calais. The only reason the VL ever had cult status was because of the turbo engine, so why not turbo it, a high comp conversion with genuine parts would probably fetch more than a stock VLC anyway, especially with genuine kilometres like this one......
He's already said he doesnt want to make money from this, he wanted to enjoy it. Personally i cant get excited about NA autos.

keep the vl standard, youll thank yourself later on, just get any other random NA vl and start from there, these calais's dont come around very often so keep it the way it is. It will be worth big money one day.

Saying it's going to be worth a ****load is absolute crap, it's a very good example of a unmolested vlc, but it has no racing pedigree like a walky, so it's true value is its only worth wat sum1 is willing to pay for it.

In some peoples eyes I paid too much some people think it was a bargain but the seller and I came to a mutual agreement where we were both happy and I'd pay exactly that if not double that for another example like this.

I read a quote on here once by that guy with the immaculate mulberry calais turbo (had a photo shoot on here), it went something like "i think that starting a project with a car that is already immaculate is the best way to go because you already have a great feeling about the car from the beginning" or something like that, and i agree.

That thing is absolutely immaculate.
If it was my car, id be doing a completely stock turbo conversion.
Or at the least, a mock up.. wrinkle red rocker etc. No intercoolers in sight. Just fully restored. Good luck and keep us posted!

Cheers mate. I didn't like the colour when I bought it, I bought it purely because I'd never find another car like it but it has grown on me alot
