09-03-10, 23:14 GMT+10#41 I agree with all the previous posts. Everyone goes through the same **** trying to be a hero, ive done it, everyone has done it at some point in their life ect... If the government could just lay out a massive square of tarmac, charge $10 for entry so everyone can just cut sick it would "REDUCE" the amount of fully sick burnouts done on the streets by pos Commodores. I know that liability will throw all of this out the window but if there was a sheet everyone would have to sign upon entry saying "the person participating is the only person at fault if an accident was to occur" then there should be no reason why something like that couldnt be done.
I know for a fact that heaps of people would attend something like this if it were to happen. Think about it all you need is a massive square of bitumen and the participant to sign a sheet "ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK".
This is going a bit off topic but Holland is already doing something similar with the drug addicts letting them shoot up for free at there own risk rather than going and stealing **** to get there next fix. What i said probably sounds like it has nothing to do with this hooning situation but if you think about it the concept is the same.

10-03-10, 07:27 GMT+10#43 how many more of these threads are gonna get open
nothing will ever happen no matter how much we piss and moan about it, WE all no that we're getting raped but at the end of the day we're a minority and as long as the majority want us to gtfo of their state the government is going to listen
however,
once hooning becomes a criminal offence (which is inevitable) then i will be readying myself for any kind of protest possible
We may be noise makers, ballbreakers and yes at times dangerous but we are NOT criminals!

Hype sells it for them. I think I may ring hack and seek an interview. I'm educated and a car enthusiest. What do you reckon my chances are?

10-03-10, 10:48 GMT+10#48 Yeah i agree; the people they talked to to Hack were illiterate morons.
Some dumb bitch on Red P's that sounded fooly hektik and can wait to lose her licence.
I sent them a message on FB but no reply. They could of spoken to people with half a brain and not a fully hektik attitude.

10-03-10, 10:50 GMT+10#49 It pi55es me off just like Summernats does 70% if the idiots that turn up have no appreciation or idea the effort and time it takes to build a real car. They are there for tits and burnouts and don't car either way. Its the same here single pegger heroes ruining it.
I am no innocent but there is a time and place for everything.

10-03-10, 11:02 GMT+10#51 if you sound educated theyll tell you to ggf or just edit the interview like its going out of fasion.
Im a mature responsible person, but like someone a certain someone said lol "if its in your blood, its in your blood"
If were not given a safe place to do it then weere else do they think well do it.
And for the record last month when police raded out tulla way they said they had a massive victory so on so forth, couldnt of been to massive if a month later they had another "massive victory" and next month theyll have another etc.
There is no massive victory, peopl are gonna pay the fines and get over it and keep going to these things. Seriously, you recon the bloke thats got 3k worth of fines cares about another 200bux, hes on a killer payment plan, wont even hit his pocket.
Take out of this what you want, as I said it is wrong illegal etc, but to all those on here that are so anti hoon and look at these idiots, pull your heads in because Ive seen you do stupid things too.
Whitebt1.88 - what you said was perfect, if they cared about our safety then why wasnt something done straight away, ill tell you why.. $$$

10-03-10, 14:03 GMT+10#52 ^^ i think your missing most peoples points katsa, fair enough what happens happens, and every1 knows it will take a lot more than that to stop it, but at the end of the day jumping on camera and saying the things that have been said, do u honestly think that makes things any better? if its the case as hamoud has said and they asked him the question of what he would do if given a place to go do it etc then id say his answer is fair enough, but every1 knows the media twist things the way they want as they obviously have done on this one yet again...all for 10 seconds on TV was it really worth answering theyre bull**** questions so they can grab a clip of you and twist it into something its not...dont think so.

10-03-10, 14:20 GMT+10#53 If you want to do burnouts, why not go to Avalon, they have burnout meets on frequently, and pay prizemoney. There are events on all around Victoria, it's just the few that think it's awesome to try and imitate stuff they see on movies like weaving in and out of traffic at high speed, doing burnouts through people and IMO those people deserve to have there cars crushed.....

10-03-10, 14:22 GMT+10#54 this thread is too serious.
people that enjoy cars and driving bla bla yes most of us including myself enjoy the illegals.
and if thats the case who ever goes is at risk of being done by the gimps in blue but its our own fault.
smart thing to do is go in your dailys and park up and watch some skids ..!
If you get raided and fines then blame yourself.
you people act asif youve never done a skid before.
maybe i just havnt grown up enough to realise but if you go there just to watch i dont see the big WOAH factor. if you get a fine then pay the c*nt

10-03-10, 14:24 GMT+10#55 The media spend there life interviewing people that spend a life getting in and out of tight situiation with there gab. Politicians. Do you think average aussie or hektic habib or shazza the mad slut can steer a conversation correctly with the mindset of how and when you say something can be twisted into its own meaning to suit the aim of the interviewer? They where made to look like idiots, which in turn does the cause no favours. Who wants to give what appears to be knobs/i dont give a fuck attitude heroes to the general populous a drag strip. You don't get rewarded for acting like a tool do you?

And that's where the system is wrong, the fines need to be doubled, and cash needs to come out of peoples pay, or in some instances their centrelink payments need to be cut/ reduced until it's paid off. Take it out of tax returns if need be.
But payment schemes are a joke.

10-03-10, 14:39 GMT+10#57 i know what your saying dean, what im trying to say in short, its not a big deal, since the latest illegals have started (mid last year) to now the only injury had been a cop car hitting a girl, there are afew people on here that a making a bigger deal then the media lol.
As i said before yes its illegal, and yes its dangerous and no its not the right thing to do, but we do it.
Smoking is bad for you and harms others around you too, i wonder when the cops are gonna raid a smoking section of a bar/club
And Bax - agree 100%

10-03-10, 15:19 GMT+10#58 it would be nice to see a thread full of facts and not opinion for once. where everyone doesn't dribble the same sh*t.
i am an offender of dribbling the same sh*t and found aftre attempting to do something about it that you just can't win.
they even made gas look like a fool when he did a tv spot by putting his comment in the middle of yobbo's screaming and some stupid redneck if i remember correctly.
you can't win, tough titties. also if i know over here in the south east that tulla / laverton skids are getting out of control and the police are cracking down how do the people up there not know? last big raid that was on the herald sun's front page was pretty obvious given the police announced a taskforce the week before.
in saying that i love these meets. good fun.

11-03-10, 00:13 GMT+10#60 Just watched the footage from the links above. We have absolutely no hope in anything getting built. All of the people interviewed were retards who probably couldnt spell there own names correctly. And if the media did interview someone who had a small amount of commonsense they were not broadcasted. Everything has been turned in favour of the $$$$$. Governements making a killing out of all this, and as long as they continue to do so a new track will never get built. Fully hectik retards on TV has only made matters worse.
