There's quite a bit more cleaning up as well. Patch up the hole in the chassis for when the cooler was installed, get a blue manual surround for the console, get the original gear knob with rubber boot, spray the bonnet and flip ups and get rid of the massive rust around the back of the windscreen.

Gave it a bit of polish today, turned out looking really good. Still undecided on whether to get the bonnet and eyelids painted. I booked in to get the front bar and skirts painted next week so that should be pretty good.
Bought two new rear tires, got a roadie today and just been cruising with my older bro all day trying to learn manual before I get my P's . Absolutely loving it!

How much damage is there? is it easily fixable?

Yeah I'll have some pics later on, It's not that bad but i can definitely notice it, especially when the sun is shining. It got mostly my roof and a bit of my bonnet.
I'm pretty shattered lol.
My brother's brand new g6et and mum vz calais are complete rite offs and so is my sisters convertible astra. Pretty shocking. I parked mine around the back under the patio and covered it because of another storm coming but atm the sun is shining so who knows lol
but thanks guys

don't worry about the hail set back mate it'll work out in the end. What you have there would be a great car even if you paid twice what you did for it.
One of the most desirable colours and an r33 turbo gearbox, you gotta be laughing for 2700!
I'm a little confused as to the turbo ecu running on an n/a engine? If that's the case you should rip it out and sell it, turbo manual ecus go for 150+ and are no better than an n/a auto one.

Thanks a lot man, Yeah I'm absolutely loving the car and got it at a real bargain but dont have a lot of money coming in and the money that is goes straight onto the car. So when something like this happens it hurts a bit lol. But oh well it's not something we can control i guess.
Yeah I wouldn't have a clue mate! Wouldn't the turbo one have a slight difference compared to the NA one?

Oh dude This isn't the one from out in the country? Diggers Rest I think it was... It's been thrashed buddy sorry to say, 230,xxx is a bit optimistic as when I checked it out the owner told me 270,xxx, I can tell you a few more things about it that you probably dont know if you'd like to know, but its like 1 good thing vs a few bad things.
Cheers matey.
