For all you E85 junkies some good news: Caltex is the first from the big fuel chains to unveil E85, 'Caltex Australia will offer Bio E-Flex (E-Flex up to 85% ethanol blend) in 30 metropolitan and regional Caltex Service Stations by 2010, increasing to 100 by 2011' http://microsites.caltex.com.au/biof...fbiofuels.aspx (http://microsites.caltex.com.au/biofuels/typesofbiofuels.aspx) http://www.caradvice.com.au/19491/ho...s-e85-in-2010/ (http://www.caradvice.com.au/19491/holden-commodore-goes-e85-in-2010/) Caltex states up to 85% depending on the time of the year.

None the less my next setup will be E85 if itis more readily available. As evident metripolitan Caltex's will stock the fuel so its good news all round. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

People who b!tch about E85 and its consumption pisses me off. Yeah it burns 30% faster, its also 40c cheaper than PULP so stfu. If your so worried about juice leave the car game and buy a Excel on Liquid Injection GAS. xo.

Have holden released the E85 car in 2010? I dont think they have. I would be suprised if Caltex have E85 anywhere this year.

isnt that e-flex exactly what you dont want for a modified car running high boost though? ideally you want the fuel to always be 85%ethanol (eg constant and reliable octane level?) in a case you are relying a finely tuned setup? unless all of you are planning on running those flex things mentioned by darkstar? i asked a few questions in an e85 thread in the WA section, the only helpful responses that made any practical sense were really from those of you guys who have e85 available/are already running it. so i thought i'd come over here and see what you say. there is a lot of speculation and some people in wa know more than others, but as far as wide spread availability of a controlled fuel, its really up to you eastern staters to fill us in on how its going. forgive me if i misread the link, and if i have can you point me in the right direction? im super psyched for e85, and kind of jealous you guys all have it already, but then again, im also happy we get to watch how you guys go with it first, to iron out any bumps before something happens in perth...

more e85 pumps please petrol station owners. hey maybe people should ask there local united or caltexs etc if they have thought or are thinking of getting e85 at any stage. just tell them they only need one pump dedicated to e85 and the demand will be significant.

It won't be until the big car company's actually produce factory cars made to run on E85 and they're in no hurry either. So much for this bullsh*t we hear about the government caring for the environment. They care about a way to tax for carbon emissions, not steps towards actually fixing it. There's to much money to be gained by keeping things the way the are.
