tuning and ecu/setup issues are a huge problem for people like us, almost everyone gets burnt with incompetant people claiming they can do the job. it's a sad reality... If you pay a bit more up front (on both ecu and tuning) you will save lots of money and frustration in the long run.

Me and my brother bought a injected 355 stroker and getrag T56 box out of a GTSR from aus added walky twin throtts and dropped that in my brothers VL V8, did all the wiring and fitting ourselves then had it tuned at torque performance in Auckland, it has 205KW and 750NM at the wheels, done one clutch and one diff that were well worn anyway, been going fine ever since considering every time it gets out it gets thrashed! I've got a VLT 3.0L as well which i love but defnitally has more issues than the V8, just changing the head gasket at the moment, mind you must have been a crap gasket, all 6 cylinders were blown!

Damn forged internals!!! But if i were to start out with a 6 and go for an 8 thats definetly what i would do... Better fuel consumption, better throttle response, better driveability but you dont get that old skool carby engine sound... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
