Cars back on the road after doing a head gasket. Seems to be going pretty good. The smoke what i could see was from oil burning on the side of the motor from an oil leak i had... Only time ive seen smoke come from exhaust is when im going down a big hill on deacelleration after a while of doing that it starts smoke untill i push the go pedal or pop the clutch in. Not to sure what its about. But other then that well worth the $91

have started having a go at this on a stock vl turbo. have got the turbine housing off, was a bitch to get of, broke two bolts and have removed the comp housing ive removed the nut on the compressor wheel, but i cant get the compressor wheel off. what exactly do you mean by media blasting, what what part get done. was thinking of sand blasting turbine housing, dump pipe and turbo manifold?

i did this yesterday to my standard t3 only took me 3 hours to pull it apart give it a good clean and put it back together with all new bits. i had a fair bit of shaft play back and forwards and a tiny bit side to side now it has none back and forward and maybe half a mm side to side but im still not sure if it does move side to side or if its just me seeing things. havent got it back on the car yet though. its fairly easy job only need basic tools and a good memory for putting it back together. cheers matt
