yes but is that painted diff centre wheels wired and ready to roll of just a bare unpainted shell with chassis work.
for a company do this quick i would understand but for a privateer i wouldnt see it as being that simple or else there would be 30 vl drag cars.
also what sort of money are we talking to have a car ready in 8wks.

You can buy immaculate 10 second VLs complete for 15k...
Dont get me wrong its a very nice car but you be lucky to get 5k for it as is.
I agree you never get back what you put in
but...
for 15k you get a 10sec running gear in a stock vl. not a an immaculate resprayed in out glazarit job that has been flowcoated and with a custom trimmed interior.

Yes it is, but it won't make that time with a full weight interior.
who says ? your so incorrect man pannic did a 8 sec pass with a full aerotech interior but that car did have gutted doors!
but this thread is about the duff mans if you have the money and you want a full chassis your going to need 40k
if you want a mint roller with a rear end ready to have as much thrown at is as you can and MINT paint then this is a TOP by

I got $5.5k for my shell....NO SEATS OR DOOR TRIMS, N/A POS DIFF IN IT and rolling on chasers.
The shell was very nice, had a recent bare metal paint job...
The dont get your money back on some things but there are certain things you can do ok with....a rolling shell is one of them....
For someone that might be looking to respray/retrim their own VLT this is a good buy somewhere around $10k IMO....think of the time and energy you'll save buying something already assembled...
Ive seen this car in the flesh at this years Easternats and it is absolutely flawless and immaculate inside out! Wouldnt be surprised if it fetched over 8k. I would recommend keeping it though, because judging by your standards youll try to get your next car to a similar standard. Save yourself your time and hassle and try to push this one as far as you can.
For those of you whove inquired about the Melbourne GLDJET, ive owned it for afew years and when i bought it, it was in need of a desperate overhaul. How many of you remember it looking like this?
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

All race ank on 27psi it did 430kw now i am going for 35psi and u can push first mate
as much as eveyone says you dont get back wot you put in to modifying a car, if there's someone out there looking to get their car looking like this and its going to cost them say 25k hypothetically, then you would have to see a shell as prime as this easily sell for 8-10k and thats going to save someone else a packet too.

people are running as quick as high 8s in untubbed cars very similar if not the same as yours why would you bother its just going to set you back another 2-5yrs building another drag car from scratch when you are already there.
if money is no object then still atleast 1-2yrs to have a fully ready drag car finished painted and running.
up to you in the end but i would say keep it and get it to the low 9s atleast before worrying about a drag car.
The reason why i wanted to build a race car cause i didnt want to wreck a perfect org shell, i have owned this car for 8 years and i bought it with 125,00o K's, i was thinking more of buying a SL and gattering that.
I got the set up already for the car so within 6 months i can have it finished and with building cars money is never an issue lol... unless my wife is up the DUFF.....
either way man good luck i vote dont sell i would rather have it in my garage coverd in dust just like my bt1 then selling it cheap i wouldnt take anything less then 10 for this but imagine this car with a red cage just turns me on!!!
good luck man
