28-10-09, 13:17 GMT+10#41 Yeah VLT88 is right i seen it with my own two eyes they had the chief andra steward there and everything. You NEED a tailshaft loop with a 2 piece if you intent on running slicks at and andra controlled track. We even tried the old switcharoo out the back but they were on too it as soon as it come through the tunnels.

Sorry for bumping an old thread but, can anyone with a current andra rule book confirm this and give me details on where to mount the second loop?
Cheers, Locky.

03-02-12, 10:48 GMT+10#49 Thats a good new rule, not hat i see the point in having a 2 x piece shaft anyways. I have a single 1 x piece shaft, lowered suspension, full car etc, never hits. If the person fitting the shaft has any idea, there is a small area to massage to give it the same clearance as a 2 x piece, this is how mine has been done and not a problem in the world.
I also had my Tailshaft loop welded in so i didnt have to put 8 x bolt holes in the floor for the supporting brackets. Much easier and my car is ANDRA teched and they liked it!

06-02-12, 05:22 GMT+10#52 I've got the latest book and all it says is a 360 degree loop is required at the FRONT uni
Also the ANDRA website lists rule changes/updates and there is nothing re 2 piece shafts

i got a similar quote but for a custom/modified vn tail shaft with the lot to fit my manual vl$$$$
i was thinking of just going the vl tailshaft and get sub standard uni joints/bearings for about $300/400
