I have driven a few of the new 6ltr's one in a VZ and one in a VE both SS utes with cold air intakes chipped extractors and full exhaust. Both made the 5.7ltr (which is a lot of fun) look ****ing slow. The VE had a 6 grand exhaust and even under light throttle would light the rears up with big tyres on it.
Go the VZ it looks the best imo and get it with the 6ltr you wont be dissapointed. But definatly get a ute .. so much more fun.

is it true the vy utes have no traction control? and that sedans have it but you can turn it off?

no offense, but that car must have panel damage or mechanical issues..too cheap..even privately you'd never see that for a vz ss with 200,000kms

but if you insist on an ss, black vx on black ve 16in stockies with black monaro tailights and sacked on the black road
VT Senators look very dated already
don't go HSV, theft risk, higher insurance etc
late model 6 litre will have all the grunt you ever need and kill earlier HSVs
I pick up a 2005 VZ clubsport R8 for $34,000 with 49,000km's on the clock. In 2005 they were selling for $72,000. Big price drop. If I had a choice of VX or VY I'd go for the VY, more of a stylish body.
Anyway here's a few pics of the VZ clubsport R8 6 speed 6 litre V8 300rw/kw

well its sitting in his garage, gave it a good look over before buying, checked its history, nothing on it, awesome buy!
if money isnt an issue... go the VY SS
but if you plan on spending cash on a VY SS and not buying a decent set of rims or lowering it more or some****..
then i would go the VX SS.
either way, they both nice cars.
I'd go a VY over a VX, although I don't mind the VX. If it's a money thing and the extra can be squeezed out I'd go a late model VZ with the L76 donk. If I ever get the chance in the next 1-2 years I'll go the VZ. Any longer it'll be VE.

Anyway, if it doesnt fall apart, he did very very well
