However customer interiors are an area that can very expensive very quickly, even if you simply go for a retrim of your stock seats. I am not a fan of pulling your dash out and going crazy with VHT paint (even though I have been guilty of it in the past), simply because the paint is easily scratched in high traffic areas (lower door trims, centre console, around dash buttons, etc), and can look tacky very quickly. Think about this - the VL has quite a range of interior colours; do none of them appeal to you? Blue (25I), Cerulean Blue (23I), Madiera Red (rare), Grey, Tan/Beige/whatever you want to call it. Even simply getting a good quality different coloured interior can totally change the feel of a car. Especially if you splurge on a Calais interior (up to $1000 for a very good one). If that doesn't do it for you, then be prepared to spend some money of it. Selo gave you a ton of examples; Dixie's I have seen in the flesh, and can tell you that the pictures don't do it justice. Very nice indeed, and not over the top (like a lot out there). My pic of the above pics would be the yellow manual VL with the dark grey leather Coulson seats.

ummmm.... i read someone sanded their dash, and painted... in my travels, i have found "soft touch" paint, i havent touched it yet, but yeah... it looks real good, and feels soft?!? maybe looking into that may be a good step?

lol at e-root and **** fights. i say don't paint the dash it will look pooh. i painted some doorpods and would never do it again. just go for a stok colour, especially if this is your daily car.

i bought a second hand vl for parts and it had a very very poorly painted white interior in it done by the previous owner, i'll get some pics up to show you just how wrong you can go. Personally i would say go the stock grey interior as its very neat looking but if you go custom stick to one colour or possibly one major and one minor (like that black and grey one). good luck with the dash.
