lol... GRPWPN...**** up! your so anoying with your useless opinions, you speak with such confidence and correctiveness for someone who cut massive holes in the back of his car for subs.. your an idiot, no one takes your posts/opinions seriously.! dont go abusing someone because you think sound deadener is the best way.. you need to spend thousands of dollars on car audio before u will notice a difference in quality of sound with s/deadener idiot.. ive spent more on a front set of splits then you probably have on your entire system.. (1600 for a set of polk Signature Range 6.5" splits.. FYI!) so stfu and take your opinions to www.beastclub.com.au (http://www.beastclub.com.au).. sorry to all but that had to be said, for a cheap and decent system dude, dont stray from brands like Pioneer, Alpine, MB quarts, Polk, Eclipse..and ur usual high quality stuff heres a start for you champ www.caraudioaustralia.com.au (http://www.caraudioaustralia.com.au) thats a car audio forum DEDICATED to audio enthusiasts in australia, they sell VERY DECENT hardware for CHEAP!, used but 98% of times in MINT condition, just ask around there ul get a MUCHH better responce then u will here. If your on a budget and want some good cheap stuff go to Strathfield or JB HiFi ta Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I found myself in the same situation a year ago, i found strathfield in the city was the cheapest at the time but its key you wait until they have a big sales and do your research for instance when looking for my sub and amp i bought the last seasons which had no mechanical difference and saved quite a lot. me personally i like one brand throughout the car but that is not essential. I choose pioneer for price and quality and so far 12 months of abuse and nothing has failed my total came to roughly $675 plus wiring / sub box and installed it myself read up because installing is were u save money. June 07 prices Pioneer MP3 200w Dual RC $185 DEHP3950 Pioneer 6X9 3 way 300w $93 TSA6962E straight in no hacking up rear shelf c*** Pioneer 12 inch 1000w woofer $87 "last seasons" TSW306C Pioneer 800w mono bloc amp to power sub $250 "last seasons" GM7200M have got box centered and bolted to rear of seat with amp behind now looks clean can get pics Pioneer 160w 6" speakers roughly were $60 was a gift to me Kicker wiring kit roughly $100 sub box roughly $100 hope it helps by the way have not found anything wrong with 6X9 speakers on the rear shelf works well. don't feel you need a big sub 10" would be the go for clarity 12" has the drown but thats why i like it lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

well i got my system last week and i absolutely love it I dunno bout you guys but i dont really need a sub. i listen to mainly metal music and the bass response i get from my 2 6x9's is just awesome!! also its worth noting i do have a wagon, which makes a hell of a lot of difference. I bought myself the JVC KD-G646 for $200. which is a great unit for its price. it doesnt have bluetooth, but the bluetooth version didnt have a USB port, so yeh.. =] i bought 2 Clarion SRR 1028 4" 2 Way speakers for the dash and 2 Clarion SRR 6986 6x9" 2 Way speakers for the back at $200 for the lot! Despite Clarions bad reputation a few years ago as a starting company, theyve really lifted their game! im really happy with the speakers. they sounded better than the pioneer and the JVC speakers! and were at a much better price (Also last seasons model - 2007) To answer my own quesion above about frequency response of 6x9"s if anyone is interested... The 6x9"s that i bought go down to about 25 -30hz. Unfortunately we did have to attack a bit of metal at the rear of the car with a jigsaw, but its all cleanly cut and perfect and i dont believe ive voided any roadworthy certs. At the moment im not running and amp, and dont really need it with my current set up. (and cause i dont wanna blast my ears) Ill post some pics up later

most of these people know what they are talking about so listen to them with their opinions on a good cheap system decent headunit (JVC actually are really good for their price) some 4" in the dash or 6" splits in the doors depending if you want to keep it original or not 6" speakers in the back, maybe 3-ways or splits? (someone can tell you which is better) a decent 4-channel amp which i think you can run a sub and a set of speakers off a 12" sub in the boot with a properly made box so no air can escape good wiring and if you buy all this good gear dont be cheap and install it quick, take your time and install it properly so you get the best connections, earth etc. im no expert on car audio but from most fairly cheap setups i have seen this would be a good setup to start with and you will be happy with it and btw. dont listen to GRK-WPN about sound quality, his subs are cut into the metal behind his seats, thats enough proof that he is a retard.

I know the answer to this guy's questions has already been answered but I thought I'd put in my 2c for a cheap system that will actually give you very good value. Pioneer CD Tuner $300 Response 4 x 130wrms amp ($300, but they are on sale atm I seen em for $150 new!!) Pioneer TS-W307C dual 2 ohms $100 Alpine Type R Splits 6" $250 There's $950 and $50 to build yourself a nice solid ported enclosure to get excellent sound quality and efficiency from the budget gear. A couple of hundred more and you'd have a system that will play very clean and crisp but loud enough you'll never want to turn it up to the full A similar setup has done 140dB on Termlab off the $100 sub. You can't beat it for budget. Sound deadener is not necessary in a very budget install. It is a luxury, my car is covered in Dynamat Extreme and it is well worth it. The difference is the cost in both systems. The price of $250 for a bulk pack simply wouldn't be worth it with this budget. Quote: rofl... .my mate put out 157db on a single 15" Who is your mate?
