There is a guy in Taupo by the name of Tom Shortt he has a automotive workshop up ther but I cant think of the name of it, he is the only guy I know that has actually done a full 4wd irs converson into a vl in the last 10 years he is a really switched on guy if you are planing on doing anything like that might I suggest you talk to someone like him first so you know what your in for.

yer thats right .. remove the gtr body from the gtr. remove the vl body from the vl. take take vl body and put it on the gtr so you can (apparently) cut just behide the sills and all the way round the car so you are left with just a floor pan quite simple really especially as they are quite similer in size oh and im 22 geez there are some narrow minded people on this site

Mate, it's not about being narrow minded. I'm sure every single person on this site will applaud your enthusiasm, but I'm guessing this is your first serious build. Most of the guys here have been in you position - grand ideas and dreams, but fact is, the reality of building a car is very different. You ask anyone here who has even an 11sec VL running the RB30et it came with, and they'll share their heartache and sob stories with you. What you are proposing is a MAMMOTH task, and we are just trying to add a little perspective. If you do it for what you are budgeting, set yourself up a workshop and you'll be a legend, but there's a reason that this has only been tried once, and from memory when I read that original article ( and correct me someone if I'm wrong ) the dude that built that 4WD VL with the GTR motor was dissapointed with the performance and certainly it didn't live up to his expectations. If you want a GTR engined beast that stands out, buy a R32GTR ( they are as cheap as chips in NZ ) and spend 5 grand on a custom bodykit or something. Just my 2 cents mate, but don't take people's comments as flaming you, they are just being straight to the point. The last thing I' sure you or your misses wants is to spend 60k doing this thing and it turns out to be a half finished garden ornament that you can't afford to finish, or do finish and regret.
