for $200 its not worth stuffing round there was simple ones with brass hose fittings and they were 280 these will have domed ends billet fittings for a bosch 044 etc or could be done for a std pump billet hose fittings tiged in.

Imho it'd want to be pretty damn good for $350, I would expect a work of art for that. How will they be designed internally? It's looking like no one really knows what they're doing especially asking for drawings etc... I'd be a bit hesitant to buy one if time was not put into the design. FYI pics of NTIMID 8's undercar surge tanks which he will no longer be making are in this thread: http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=108046 *edit* can't speak for everyone here, but I would suggest that most would be hooked up to at least one 044. also Quote: Originally Posted by WPNVLT ...4'' round and 150mm high with a dome end... Also according to my calc without the dome (don't have measurements for that) this comes to just over 1L in volume (1.17L). Assuming that 4" round = the diameter? Will this be big enough? What is the optimum volume for a fuel surge tank?

they look crap they will be a hell of alot better than them the tig welds will be perfect billet fittings decent mounts etc and internally they dont need anything because it is always full of fuel and there is nowhere for it to go there is only a overflow hose at the top going back to the tank. you can have them bigger than 1 litre if you want but thats just what he is using on his car when its finished there will be pics up im sure your not going to use 1 litre of fuel before your intank pump fills it up again.

NTIMID 8's had a shield internally that forced the incoming fuel to the bottom of the tank. Not having a go dude just making sure that if you are actually going to make them you get it right so people buy them Clearance and functionality are the main two issues for me, personally i couldn't give two ****s what it looks like. I know how they work i have a boot setup ready to go but would prefer to keep it under the car. If no functional solution can be obtained then I'll go ahead with the boot setup or take the car to an engineering joint and get them to make me something up. seen your the only one doubting them you can have the 1st one for $200 and then when it fits and works perfect you can tell everyone its good lol. ill try get some pics soon but we are still wating for some billet fittings for the 044 pump so we can put it in and get some pics.

I wouldnt be making them for people to buy just for myself... I was thinking it would need some sort of internal baffle.

can easily put a baffel in them probably will just for peoples piece of mind anyway.

from wat i understand they dont need baffels or a deflector plate and a one litre tank is plenty

Awesome, finally this seems like a real alternative to boot mounted mess/smell/holes. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
