Gups HQ doesnt have that motor in it anymore, the motor is in his pro street Camaro unless they changed it back again for powercruise?

They chop and change. The motor was dropped into the Camaro shell to go racing as obviously that shell (that was set up to and did run 8s for quite some time from memory) is better set up than the quey to hit the track. However, at the events the quey is the rigor-de-choice as he's going to have more fun in it. There's a vid on youtube of the Camaro launching at the track - how many powerskid comps is he going to win with huge slicks and a car set up to wheelstand to half track?
There are a lot of differences between the motor in the Camaro and the motor in the HQ now that I think about it. In the Camaro the turbo is mounted between the block and the intercooler/radiator area. Makes you wonder whether it's the same motor with different manifolds or a whole new set up. Whatever the answer I don't think the HQ will ever attend a PC event without it's trademark Turbonetics charged mill; the car is a signature of the event and there's no doubt that a bright green car that performs like it does sells tickets

Yeah you're 100% correct there... I heard that they were swapping the motor, but there is no way he needs 1300hp at the wheels to do a skid. Maybe the original motor is in the camaro, and a fresh, smaller motor in the Q?
They would always have to mount the turbo in a different spot, because the bay is a different shape, if you get what i mean?
i was up the end of the straight on saturday when he did his powerskid, certainly looked like 1000+rwhp to me.. pretty much could not see the pits, the other end of the straight or the grandstand for a minute or so.
Here's a few quick photos. Nothing over the top. If you're interested in more, PM me. Enjoy the photos...
