Ok, so the size of ur turbo will be - comp 88/118(t51r 76.5/102.2) exhaust 95/84(t51r 71.4/82) As you can see its much much much bigger! Its kind of like someone having a gt35 and putting on a gt42 and getting it to spool up earlier. Bit hard to comprehend. Ill believe you though if Mark said fullboost at 5200. My question is why did the old t51r hit fullboost at 5700? There must have been something wrong?

No doubt in time there will be photos of this car going around. I have settled on a 88 front and a .86 rear. He has another client how has this same turbo on a 26/30. and yes it does boost up at 5200rpm. Cost of the turbo.......... its one of those "if i tell ya , i'm going to have to kill ya prices!!! LOL" has any body heard anything about this vl from sydney? **** me 100mm! thats awesome Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

My friend just picked up his To4z (or they call To4p) from there. with the breath of your month , blow into the turbo and it spins round and round and round!! I think you guys should do some homework on these turbos. For Gas Motorsport to use them they are the best on the market. Which is still ***n huge!!!!!! its in a black VL 26/30! And dont worry you will all see it in time!! [quote=genki]haha wow, with all this talk about "billet turbos" its making me want one also would it be safe to assume... (if ive missed the price if it was mentioned) that these billetturbos are decent "bang for your buck" when compared to the price of HKS items? because isnt a HKS T51R more than 4-5k? You are paying for a brand. Dont get me wrong the T51r is a great turbo. But its old Tech. Ever since is came on the market the olny thing they have changed is the front comp cover. If anyone is in the market for a Turbo, you have to make a call to Mark at Billet turbos!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

How is the T51R old tech?, it has gt wheels, it just had them a long ,long time before garrett released them to the market under there branding, its no older tech than a 42 or a 3540 etc. I am having a mr.billet turbo done now, but as far as i know, mark just uses other peoples wheels (borgwarner/garret etc and does his core, so this turbo you getting would just use a gt47 wheels in his core...correct?? It s hard to get it around my head that this a larger wheels spool quicker than the smaller 76, smaller than s trim rear when they are well designed in the first place, unless you had a problem before Last time i checked the only billet wheel/cnc cut wheel available was made by borg warner and is 71mm in size, there was no other sizes available , i would love to know if this has changed as a given size wheel flowsmore air and is lighter(spools quicker) for its given size. Keen to see your results, what cams are you putting in? cheers darern

If not just PM Mr Fantasy on this forum , he works for Mark, easy. Maybe he will change your mind......... Also there was no problem with the last setup.

Yeh, if he can make stuff spool that quick, i'll use a 76mm wheel instead of a 71mm Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I think you should just call mark and ask him about. Coz this converation just keeps going round and round and round. Also i think everyone keeps forgetting that i am adding CAM's / Vlave springs / Head porting to make this hole package work! its not just centred around the turbo. joe from gas told me with my turbine 81mm front and .96 rear is perfect, originally i thought it was an 88mm and he said it wont spool up well thats why i assumed when you told us your specs i just passed on the advice, not intenending to offend anyone. i know what turbos gas use and each car/turbo/set up is a bit diffrent from another so at the end of the day good luck with what ever you choose. what times are you expecting out of this car?

the wheels would prob have to be the Borg Warner ETT wheels there a completely new design wheel from forced inductions in the states and borg warner mark deals with Jose from FI so i assume thats why he has started using the ETT wheels the ETT wheels make more power than the convential garrett wheels http://www.forcedinductions.com/productsborgwarner.htm look different to marks turbos spool quicker than Garrett because of his centre his 72gtq on a 2j makes full boost around 4000rpm and thats about 700rwhp from what ive read,GAS run 1 of Marks 98mm turbos on the 3.2lt good luck with it Richie will be interesting to see what Robbie gets out of your head cheers Troy also, Mr Fantasy, that would have to be Ricky that owned/owns Fantasy Performance wouldnt it that now seems to work with Mark? i think you where the guy i spoke to at Marks the other day when i dropped my 72gtq off to get the comp cover machined slightly the comp cover with the big elbow welded on to it

Hey guys, As always I dont want to get court up in any conflict but I will quickly clear up a few questions and misconceptions. Keen to see your results, what cams are you putting in? cheers darern The HKS T51R SPL uses a old school TA51 turbine. (Hence T51 in the name) The compressor wheel casting is the same as the T72, T74, T76, GT4202, GT4276, GT4502, Billet 72, Billet 74, Billet 76. They are all the same wheel cut at different trims and profiles. All the Billet versions have are mated to inconel GT Style turbines, The Billet Turbochargers use a variety of compressor wheels and turbines. Most of the top selling models are our own wheels and housings. Although we do have the flexibility to use just about any manufactures parts to build turbos to suit individual needs. There are many billet cut compressor wheels out there. They are usually very big and for compounding turbos on huge diesel engines. The only billet cut wheel we have in our current line up is the BorgWarner 70mm. Its available as a Billet SB70-GTQ or Billet SB70-GTS. The wheels in the 88mm are not BorgWarner wheels although if someone wanted a custom ball bearing large frame BorgWaner turbo, we could build one with the Billet Turbochargers core. Jose is a good bloke but we have not as yet ever done any deals with him. Quote: Originally Posted by misk mm ive been keen as to see some of the VL boys use a billet turbo in a serious setup. i was looking into getting one around a GT35 size, but was told they dont come into their own until going over that size. my plans have changed and am looking at going somthign along the T04z size, so will be great to see the results you get richie! if anything at least we know itl look fkn sexy All the Billet Turbochargers use the same design aeronautic grade full complement silicon nitride (ceramic) ball bearing system and precision CNC billet aluminum cores and back plates. At this point we do not have any T2, T25, T28 foot printed turbos in production but we have prototypes on the road for some time now with great results so they will go into production later on this year. Nether Mark or I have made any claims on where this turbo will hit full boost. I will state that it will start spooling up and reach full boost much earlier than other turbos of the same size. When its all together we will see what it does. Richard, In your avatar it says your getting a Billet Pro DRAG 88-GT. The Pro DRAG 88 has the big cover mate. It wont fit in your engine bay. It also has a bigger turbine. The turbo you are getting is an updated version of the Billet Pro 88-GT. Catch up with you soon mate. If anyone has any questions please feel free to email or call. Kind regards, Ricky. PS: If you are looking at purchasing a Billet turbo the site sponsors would be a good place to look. 6BOOST Bresciani JD Customs Extreme Manifolds.
