fair enough u get a puncture sometims but.. if u changing a tyre on a roadway. u be careful.. u look out. if anything is going to happen.. ur gunna be the victim...
same as cops pulling ppl over and standing on the roadway... its silly..
changing a tyre is not worth dying for... ppl will learn from this.. it should never have happened in the first place and it all comes down to education.
RIP.
Too true,
Advice for everyone get RACV road side assistance, I once blew a tyre on a major highway just off the west bridge I think it was, I didnt chance it, didnt even get out of the car to check the tyre, called RACV to get a tow to get off the main traffic road and changed the tyre in a car park.
The tow, the taxi (had 2 other passangers), all covered by RACV - best money I ever spent.
My deepest sympathy to the family of the victim, may he rest in peace,
Daz

And too INFLYTE and Chemical. maybe in future you could spare a thought for the many truck drivers how don't take drugs and break the law before you go shooting your mouth off and tarring us all with the same brush.
umm mate my old mans been a truckie for over 20 years and my grandfather owns a company that owns and deals with semis and other trucks every single day..now im no truckie my self but i have a clue about the industry and i can honestly tell you that it isnt anywhere near clean..ive heard of plenty of storys, and witnessedf plenty of truckies on the gear..had to let alot of them go from the business...
i was in no way directing what i said to the entire trucking community..but a majority of interstate drivers etc are on the gear..and its fair sad because its f*cking up the industry

i agree there,in my old job i used to be be in contact with alot of interstate truckies, and they would always offer gear as a trade for stuff.

thats fair enough but there are a lot of car drivers on it too.
take for instance the drug buses stint at kempsey 3 weeks ago.
they caught 4 truck drivers and 17 car drivers including the pizza delivery boy lol. (good job if you get the munchies)

as a general rule of thumb there would be more cars then trucks on the road?
do you have figues of how many cars and tucks were tested, i think you would find in a percentege of truck drivers with ampthetamines in there system would be alot higher then the car drivers?
and im not condoning the car drivers, but the truck drivers are doing it on a day in day out basis.

no i dont have exact figures i just got the figures from the officer who tested me but he said they were targeting trucks and had tested mainly trucks cause they were starting at 5pm and working throught the night.
this is not the first time it usually happens when they do testing. they did it near melbourne at broadford a few months ago and the result was the same more cars caught than trucks and they tested the same amount of trucks and cars
