Country Coppers are usually sweet. Just dont act like a wanker/metro
Its some of the city traffic cops that hate life are the ones that are out to ruin you...

yer maybe ... a mate got pulled over in melb and we were on the way back from calder. We drove home with slicks on and no exhaust in mates SL turbo (12.9 @ 111mph) the cop pulled us over and laughed. he got defected but the cop was soooo nice. he knew i was a mechanic and doing RWC so he was joking saying this isnt really a problem caus ill just write him up tomorrow, lol he went through car and told us what to change (but didnt write it in report) and, me and another mate (passenger) were allowed to have a can while we all were discussing cars, road rules and life in general with the cop. It a hit or miss i think .....
But yer Jeffo your right .. if u have any additude at all they rape ya
Hey guys some new pics of the clutch going in...
Again big thanks to Tim who droped everything to help me lift the gearbox .. dam R33 boxes are big !! Considering ive only just become friends with this guy he has proven to be bloody trust worthy and really helpful .. and only couple pliers gone missing from garage
Much pretier than the old one haha
Fresh machined flywheel .. dont ever change your clutch without doing this guys !!!
And now everything together ... only to be removed again when i realised that i forgot to but the plate between the gearbox and engine block. It was meant to go on before all the clutch stuff !!!! dam it
Ive been using my eyes since i started my time as a mechanic but a smarter way is to use a clutch aligning tool, caus unless your good at doing it by eye your in for at least a couple go's getting the box up and down !!!

haha know some nice cops ?? no ... guess ive just encountered some good ones mate... here are some pics from tonight, loaded up on the trailer and ready to go to dyno room tomorrow. i would LOVE to get some film on the dyno but sorry guys its just not going to happen
Guys there wont be an update for a little bit now, im not expecting to get the car back for around 5-6 days ...... but if you got some questions let me know ...............
ohh before u ask YES that is a magne towing hahaha
Ok ... droped car off today and had a nice talk with Robbie. While was there there was a R31 turbo, engine wasnt crash hot just a turbo bolt on job. With the usual - zorst, fmic + ECU reeled off a credible 204rwkw @ 11psi, due to actuator issues couldnt get anymore into it. Im not going to get into this whole dyno output thing either so save your wasted comments on how it prob wasnt right ... it probably was !!!! - its a tuning tool and i know that but gives me hope - I know the massive top end the DOHC gives the big bottom end.
We decided to put a upgraded fuel reg on and see what we could push from the injectors, their going to be the only thing holding me back at this stage. Were looking at 15-18psi (this is not really a car driven on street) Spoke with EFI hardware and was debating chucking a set of 650cc injectors in .. but decided against, i want to leave stuff like that till the next stage of the build .....
Anyway time will tell how it goes, but ill be running it down calder next fri (dec 14th) so come along and say hi i will be running full street trim at that stage + trying to get use to brass button so dont expect big things ... ill say mid 13 in full street trim at this stage, but more importantly to me is MPH .... anything around 115mph will be a good indercation of a mid 12. Ill be jumping out the car with a massive smile on my face if i can get that type of top end ........

hey guys got a call from Robbie and told me results ......
said made 223rwkw @ 14 psi and 255 @ 18 psi but down side is exhaust housing on turbo is all wrong and getting compressor surge so couldnt get it on dyno to make over 14psi unless nailed it from 4000+ rpm but couldnt get dyno sheet. his not lying i knew about the problem, however he said on the road at 18psi it was making 255-260rwkw (he had to visually see the line), he just couldnt print it during the run. Now im worried about surging

You'll be right sunshine - thats still going to kill a lot of tyres and petrol until you fix it.

nah just race it now, you never know what might happen if you don't! I pulled out of racing mine a couple of times thinking i'll just race it later and then something breaks and i'm left waiting for another couple of months wishing i raced it when i did!

with 220 -240rwkw (that's what ur expecting, right?) and good street tyres traction shouldn't be a huge issue...
