for rwc ya can try and make a box thats attached to the floor by screws so they cant see(and hopefully wont bother trying to re move it) that the subs are actually facing thru holes in the body, and make the rest of the car as clean and as roadworthy as possible, just hope they dont see the holes. good luck mate

I hope your the passenger in the back when that crashes to test out the fully sick strength of a sub box bolted down tight. Its not safe at all and has to be the worst install ive ever seen.

LOL...[GRK-WPN] i dont think you get it yet mate. it may just be 'two holes' but cutting those two holes has severely compromised the structural intregity of the rear of the car. in other words...the rear is weak as piss. theres a reason why you're not meant to cut into the metal frame of the car. especially in the back. just wait for the day when someone idiot rams you up the arse and one of your poor mates gets pancaked. it wont just be ONLY TWO HOLES then. the whole rear of the car has been greatly weakened and its gonna be on your head when someone is killed in the backseat. seriously why do you even need subs there anyway? its not practical and when the subs start pumping hard they need room to move. and now you say you're going to put a sub etc in the boot so that the cops cant say "where was all that bass coming from". are you going to hook those up too? coz otherwise the cops will know that gear in the boot aint working and theyll get suspicious. not to give you a hard time mate...but that is one of the dumbest things ive seen somebody do to their car. if you put half as much time and money into building a system in the boot as you did destroying the rear of your car...youd have a pretty good system. subs are only for bass...why is it so important to have the bass in the backseat...is the boot too far away? i dont know why you even posted this on here...most of the guys here are genuine car enthusiasts who know and respect their cars and the law. most of them wouldnt put the safety of their car and friends/family at risk just to have some "zomg fully hektik" backyard job sound system...so you shouldnt be too suprised that everyones having a go at you. in conclusion...you're a ****head.

Really? so your an engineer and have done the sums have you? I didnt think so... The actual metal sheet he has cut is barely tack welded in place anyway with some kind of sikaflex running along the seems. The amount of metal he actually removed is not massive considerin there are holes there to begin with.

Give the guy a break, he's had a go at something and he's done it his way, he just hasn't looked and done the research first. Good to see you doing your own work and having a go mate, but the guys are right, it is illegal and won't pass a RWC. Moral of the story is check the legality of things before you start.

well said. there is no benefit at all from having the subs there, its just a big pointless waste of time money, and waste of what looked to be a cleanish car.
