cool so im an idiot! BUT I plumbed it back where the factory loaction was.. pretty much into the ptop half od the plenum... oops Im assuming its meant to go in front of the turbo? and after the AFM? Upgrade your breathers, Put a filter on the top of the catch can, do a skid, crack a bundy and chill. Naah the intake piping had no oil in it apart from in front of the turbo due to too much crankcase pressure by the soudns of things.. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The drama is that you are putting pressure in the crank case and the turbo carnt drain away and comes out the front or out the rear because there is less pressure in there.

if you plumb one of the breather into the plenum, it would need to have a working pcv valve, so it closes when the manifold is pressurised (like factory), the second breather must be connected before the turbo compressor wheel however so it can still breathe when on boost. just do what most people do however and run both to a catchcan that is vented to be safe, a single breather may not be adequate when making big power with a 35/40 on high km rb engine.

Or simply plumb it back into the front pipe before the turbocharger like the factory breather does into the rubber pipe!

Any modification to the pcv valve/rocker cover breathers is illegal anyway so why bother plumbing it back in. :P Block off everything apart from the cam cover breathers and run a simple atmo venting catch can setup. I run a rb25/gtr pump that really dumps oil in the head and runs some healthy oil pressure. Prior when I was running the std rb30 oil restrictor size (1.8mm from memory) I had huge amounts of oil floating around in the head/breathers etc; I pulled the head off dropped a 1.5mm restrictor up front, blocked the rear and now its super super clean with not a hint of blowby. Catch can perfectly clean as is the hose. Still plenty of oil up top. Not sure I'd be doing that with an rb30 pump though. Also. Nissan from factory with the dohc motor runs turbo oil 2 restrictors, one in the banjo thats positioned in the block and the other at the turbo. I retained the factory banjo with its ~0.9-1mm restrictor and soldered some new bundy tube with an appropriate fitting on the end for the garrett turbo that obviously utilizes the garretts standard built in restrictor. All has been good so far but I have only been running 1bar. :P

Catch cans are legal if a sealed type and are plumbed in correctly! Venting to atmo is a legal no no!!

Here in Adelaide ANY modification to the emissions setup is illegal according to the blokes down at Vehicle Standards. For those cars with bov's that also means cross over pipe modification or inlet pipe modification. -------- Don't go running thicker oil in an old motor; run what it was supposed to run from factory. Take it easy until the oil reaches operating temp (~10mins after coolant reaches operating temp) then give it a flogging. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
