MY VR stato gets about 300k's around town for @$25 (love gas) @ 400 on the highway. Trip computer reads between 9.2 and 9.8 l/100k on the freeway between melb and wodonga. so in thoery @ 800k's to a tank of petrol, still cheaper to use gas.

Gotta love digging up the oldies, I'm probably getting a 5ltr vr stato on sunday, and obviously from what ive read it should be around 450ish-ks to a tank which is about the same as the vl, now the guy who owns it says he gets 350ish driving around town, and I drive mostly highway to work then the gym, shops and footy is heaps close so *I hope* ill be ok for fuel trying my best not to flog it, so what do you guys average without flogging it in 304s? also ill most probably go gas at some point so which is better dual or straight?

430 km, 48lt, full freeway, ute full with camping equipement etc, mrs and dog. 280 odd around town roughly the same fuel. 286 cam, 10ish comp, 2200 stall, exhaust, mt8 and standard gears. Awesome on the freeway especially considering the weight I was carrying and the journey was very hilly up and down so I reckon on a good trip with my hardtop to reduce resistance and no weight I'd go close to high 600k's.

I get roughly 380-420 out of a 70litre tank and it costs me about 80-90 bucks to fill up. I thought that was ****house but after seeing some of the other figures I'd say I'm doing alright Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
