What do you reckon, they stole that to, or it wasnt ever there due to not being a bt1 originally, i guess we have to wait and see until klr-747 checks it out and gets back to us on it. But honestly i wont be suprised if it isnt an original bt1.
the way the owner talks he seems as though he knows nothing about the car (or acts that way incase something happens to go wrong and he can say "i didnt know about that").
the whole cars been retrimmed so maybe it was taken out when it was retrimmed but ive got a feeling its not a bt1.
Now your kind of talking, i dont want to be rude to anyone or insult them if they are trying to buy this car. My whole aim is trying to prove the best and help as much as i can. People should know what they are buying. Not think they brought a bt1 then find out down the track it was a standard sl sprayed yellow known as a REPLICA BT1. All we can do as i mentioned before is wait till the weekend until klr 747 checks it out and then we can talk further ahead. But im kind of waiting to hear its not a original bt1 ive got that feeling lol

Looks are decieveing man especially on carsales... went to inspect an immac VS Clubby (from what the photos showed) and the car had deep key gashes, cracks in body kit ect... also check all the door jams for fresh welds, check floor pan ect..
if it was me looking at that car I would turn away straight away when i hear about the tags, that what makes the car genuin. but hey if you want a cheap vl turbo go for it, but you cant go around sayin its a bt1 with out the tags!!!!
EYETZR you cant get the tags reprinted. Holden dont reprint them I know that for a fact. The most you can get is a Letter of Compliance which shows everything the tags would but on paper. The only way you can her that is if you have the original VIN number of the car or atleast the original number plates from when the tags were stolen where as in this case its imposible.
That sounds a bit like it, but even dough it turns out to be a original bt1, you think it still is original, interior, turbo, needs new boonet and boot, the way things sound a new diff etc. But then again thats my opinion im sure other people might think different about it.
well this thread got bigger than i expected, when i do go to see it i think ill be aware of what to look for etc. Monday morning ill keep everyone posted as to how the inspection went.
Dude the way this thread is going i dont think people are going to wait till monday morning, there going to go and check out the car themselves because im getting a bit unpatient about it.
