hahah no.
BUT
lets say this kids car, was perfect. Just like from the factory, and only losing 15% ish through a perfectly maintained MX7 and VLT diff. 150kw at the flywheel, would quickly become 127.5kw at the wheels.
Now, he adds a cooler and a free flowing exhaust, which makes the car more efficient, but at the same time, he doesnt wind anymore boost into it. On 6psi, an exhaust can only restrict so much air.
We're talking a 40rwkw increase here, not 10-20rwkw.

Yes, i think so. To an extent.
But if your gonna run 9.5:1 comp, and pump a decent bit of boost into it, you could o-ring it til the cows come home and it would still blow head gaskets.
I'm not 100% though.
ICUL8R: i dont understand why you'd shave the head if your gonna run boost?

a good tune? stock ECU? so air fuel mixtures were right. There isnt much to tune on 6psi with stock ECU.
If you didn't want people opinions, you shouldn't have come on the internet and posted it.
There is guys that have been playing with VL's on here for years and years, and haven't seen that sort've power on that much boost. Nobody is doubting it made that power on that dyno, but only the fact that, that particular dyno is 100% accurate.

You said the magic words... they TUNE them. The power they make doesnt have to be right, just the tune.
ALWAYS REMEMBER KIDS, A DYNO IS A TUNING TOOL.

yar, but even it combined with 1/2" studs, copper gasket or whatever isn't going to save a bad combo/tune

Yeah, there's a dyno up here in Townsville that I believe is VERY happy.
Close to stock 300zx, 242rwkw (only running more 4 more boost, they have 208kw at the flywheel stock) and like 800nm of torque?
I think there's a few VL's that have been on this dyno with rich figures aswell.
Suss.

yer man, o ring does help prevent blown headgaskets, but not from bad tune or high comp. if its gonna blow its gonna blow, oringing gets rid of any hot spots that may cause premature headgasket blowing, so im told,.

Even that figure would be a little high without a cam at least on std injectors. More like 175 - 200rwkw.
What ever the case, race it and the timeslip MPH will show what power its making.

I thought power loss through the drive line was a figure not a percentage. And that figure is different for every drive line. If its a percentage then it doesnt make sense. If you make 1000hp at 30% loss then you're gonna lose 300hp?? That doesnt sound right at all. No driveline is gonna suck 300hp. Correct me if i am wrong.
