As stated already, Both the XR6 and the VL were not speeding... The adds intended affects are up shit creek, just have to read this thread to see how much of a joke it is and how it has affected us 'young' people 'talking our language'... I think its pathetic. You put images like that on the telly and people will just want to go out and recreate them because they know there mates arnt going to be playing around with there pinkies.. Fact is .. 'X number' of people are going to die on the roads each year. Its just a matter of whether your lucky enough not to be one of those.

That ad is load of sh*t..... what a waste of taxpayer money.... Why dont they just stick to their no such thing as safe speeding etc etc? Who the f*ck speeds cos they wanna impress someone? honestly?..... you do it cos it feels good right??? Terrible ad...as was mentioned only one of those incidents shown was actually relating to speeding, the rest of it is typical 'hoon' type activity... It will no doubt appeal where it counts-that is with the voters of the Government that creates that sort of rubbish. Absolute crap. The correlation between the whole pinky thing and speeding is stupid, they may aswell have done the whole what a wanker with the hand shuffle thing...haha And I agree 100%, would have been better if the VL was packed with Muzzas hanging out the window at them chicks the car speeds off through the intersection and it gets T-Boned by a Semi...now that would have some impact?....Lol.

I think if anything when some muzza's see that theyre gonna be like ''Bro, mah vl goes more sideways than that'' And then goes out and does it.

They are pretty out of touch aren't they. I asked a few people on their thoughts of it, and most said the ad made them want to go out and rip a huge skid haha. (again not that ct or myself condone that sort of activity). They should concentrate on the "deep" ads. I think the most effective ones are when they show "crash scenes", and peoples friends/family inured/dead due to acts of stupidity are the ones which affect people the most.

hahaha i saw this add twice last night whilst watching CSI. im liek wtf xr6t brunout..sweeettt, then i seen this blue vl.. i jumped out of bed and rang my mate right away, and he had just seent he exact same thing hahaha they got it heaps exact, the guy trys to go sideways, thinks he is gonna loose it, but then regains it and hes like ohh yeehhhh hahah reminds me of myself back in the early days of owning a vl.. admit it, nearly every person from this forum would have tried that once.. hehe Carlos might i add also... they have statistics that more and more P platers die on our roads each year.... keep in mind, a few years back now, P platers only had their reds for 1 year and then they got their full licence, so ofcourse there is more P platers having accidents, because the P plater bracket is now 3-4 years before a full licence is obtained..
