These are two sets I'm looking at on ebay, both seem to look good.
ddi my garnish today, didn't even spray it, just gave it a good polish and it looks great!
nicer to know it's 100% originAL and hasn't even been repainted. my sticker has come off aswell, i took it off to clean where dirt had made its way underneath the sticker and that was causing a lot of the trouble.
i am going to reattach the sticker with spray adhesive (from spotlight) its a clear spray, verysticky and very light layer.

with the rare spares sticker, have you been polishing it to get more of a white finish in the stripes? could you just polish it back to what youre happy with then clear coat it? i have both my original garnish and the rare spares kit... ive already put the stripes on with silver pen and it came up ok... will have to clear it for sure...

yeah i thought so... a bit disappointing but oh well, for $160 i cant really complain...
Just had a look at mine in preparation to restore it and found the sticker is peeling at the edges. Did anyone find out what's best to use to stick it back down? Cheers.
Thanks. I'll look for it and see how I go. At least I know I can repalce the sticker if I really stuff it up.

We'll see. I've had and seen dealings with him before. He's on this forum, and a bit excitable. Could be good though, he's definitely into rare VL parts.....and making money from them
ive been makeing replacments for a while!
come with end caps to put on the tail lights, made out of vinyl.
worth $60, pm for any other details u need!
Updated photo's - plastix seems to work at polishing it to a mirror like finish, i only had a go at it for a couple of minutes, im sure with xtra elbow grease it would go crazy!

They look good man. Are they as dull as the photos look though? Could they be polished up with some plastic polish? That was my main gripe with the rare spares repros
Great photos by the way
It's just that smick genuine ones are glossy as. If they aren't, you can restore the shine pretty easily. Meguires plastix works for me. The rarespares ones are dull and real difficult to polish up.
It would be interesting to see how yours react to this process. If you get a chance, chuck one on an old garnish and give it the meguires treatment, maybe even with a 2000 grit wet rub first and show us the result. If it comes up glossy, you'll have the best sticker option for sure. You'll sell tonnes!
