2300, plus install, plus tune, we'd be looking at over 3k. Not bad for a unit that has all the fruit but DOUBLE the microtech

These days lt10s are available with full wideband monitoring and full datalogging on board capabilities. High powered rb30's running a microtech? You want examples? OK. I know the rigoli's are big supporters of them.. anyone know what ecu is on boostn? Microtech LT-12s i believe! BOOSTN - Jim/Rigoli - 8.6 @ 163 mph Now the fastest VLT in Australia.... With a MICROTECH

you might want to define the class you are talking about because fastest vl turbo in australia belongs to rajab racing - motec! :P also - its up to you about the ecu mate - but my opinion - think ahead - those features you talk of you might end up needing to use either way - its your piece of machinery so you can refine it however you like

this debate could go for ever, the fact is that bang for buck a microtech will do what "most" ppl want of it and for alot less dosh than the MoTeC. But that is not to say that the MoTeC dosent have a place, because it does. Its like comparing a lambo to a porsche. Both do pretty much the same thing but the lambo is about twice the money. people will buy the MoTeC for there own reasons (as Petros stated "future development") other people will be happy to have a 250-300rwkw daily driver, and cant justify the extra 1k for a MoTeC.

imo yes motec/autonic are the best........would i use motec? probably not they are way to expensive for me ( i have an Autronic on my own car & would not use anything else due it doing everything a motec does & cheaper to) when it comes down to it MOST of the time a microtech will do everything the arerage joe needs from an ECU & they have come along way over the last few years. Petros you comparision of ecu's with a lts10 & m4 is a little silly your saying that a motec is much better based on this comparision i'd bet a the Microtech would have more features than the m4......heck the m4 will only batch fire the injectors on a RB30 even the old "microjunk" does better than this, when it comes down to it the Motec will be far from perfect at idle when compared to what the microtech would be like !!!! So if you consider that Based on your "if you want your car to be perfect" theory you would not even consider M4.......... if this is what you want then a M48, m600,autronic smc/sm4 or any of the other ecu's that have full sequential injection would be the only choice not a motec m4. beyond that as has been said numerous times on here use what your tuner wants to use & in familar with

i have a MT8 in my VLCT and even on a tune by Rigoli it still seems to run rich as he said because it dosent have closed loop function as some other ECU's do. i been thinking of going to WOLF ecu i dont know much about tuning of the ECU but there was things he was telling like the Maps are saved in the handset not the ECU or somthin he lost me at that point lol. any1 know how to tune them on the street and not dyno 2 guys i knwo did it 1 in a L24ET powered Datsun 260Z forget what ECU he had and a RB30/25DET powered R32 power FC i just hate the AFM still being there thats why i wouldnt go Power FC.

what functions does the m48 offever over the lt10s then if the lt10 does all the same logging etc? What about rpm incriments? It all depends on how much it is tuned really, my EMS 8860 has rpm incriments of 1rpm, doesn't mean i am going to get it tuned at anything lower than 300-500rpm incriments if i rock up and pay a tuner to "tune" it for me, drive in drive out.
