15-10-07, 14:26 GMT+10#42 Lookey what arrived today!
A full IC&E ignition system containing a billet distributor, 9mm race leads, coil and 7amp control box which has a two stage rev limiter and advance curve controller built in. Before anyone asks... yes it costs lots. Thankyou to Mike @ ICE for all his help.

Cheers! Last time you were over from Perth it wasnt done.. and neither is it this time haha.
Picked up a nice big Victor Jr manifold for a steal too. It was originally going to have the dual plane... but just like everything else on this car its getting bigger.
I just read this thread from the start and its funny to think that I was happy with the 253 then going to put a stock 304 in it. My how things change haha.
Hopefully the motor is done within the next month. Then the two things stopping me are torque convertor and carburettor. Ill keep on saving.

27-12-07, 14:03 GMT+10#53 Yeah but I got this one REAL cheap heh. Came with an alloy spacer. Its a 'bowtie' Victor Jr... apparently better.

07-03-08, 12:41 GMT+10#55 Finally something is happening.
The Dart heads are complete! Ported, assembled and ready to go with the run in valve springs for the dyno.
The block has the mains caps and studs screwed on - its been line honed. Its getting decked next and assembled.
The engine was going to be 30 thou up but we found some better pistons and its 40 thou now.

10-03-08, 12:21 GMT+10#58 I still need a carby and a convertor after this... theres still over $2500 in stuff just there! Getting over not having money for it. This is by no means a cheap exercise unfortunately. Its almost tripled in cost from what was originally planned. Cant wait until its done though!
