saying v8s are only good for burnouts is the same as vls are only good for dropping doses. the huge tourqe from the v8s especially big blocks helps them get off the line along with tourqe converters and transbreaks the 4.11s just enable them to keep the revs high and get throught the gears quiker on the short qtr mile charge and the bigger cubed engines will look after themselves from 3qtr track. the reason why u dont see quik v8s on the street anymore is because off all the jap **** , 4banger slammed gemis ****ty vns, vts vs/r, e series falcons, wankers in there ls1 uts, rich boys in there stock fpvs and vx vz monaros and the thousands of vls that have *****ed the laws from hooning and highway hanging. just my 2 bobs worth.

Love the video of the fan falling over. Awesome looking engine but not a huge fan of that model Transam.

hahahaha V8's need 4.11?
we built a mild big block setup in a corvette, with a 2800 converter and 3.00 gears ran a trap speed of 127mph on street tyres.

and your telling me a stock vlt hauls ass and gets off the line well??
and at the start of this thread you said a 26/30 would make that power easy?
That motor, with a twin 2.5 inch exhaust (needs at least twin 3 inch) made 281rwkw with over 500ftlb of torque! this is this blokes daily driver too!

I think the titan cars make more than 1600hp, there street cars that run
3.4's, Gt47-88 and n20 that make mid 1400-1500rwhp now.
Apparently the 3.4's last a lot longer at that horsepower than the 3.0's do at 1100-1200rwhp, the 3.0's last about 3000-4000miles of high boost, 35-45psi street driving at that level, before the crank and bearings call it a day.
cheers

i dont wanna get in an argument, im 16, and i know sayin that, im gonna get bagged to the **** about knowing fcukall about cars blah blah blah, all i said is a vt clubby is a V8 street car, and off the line they go hard
i never said anything about your MANUAL vx ss makin whatever killawatts... i think you said 265 bein slower then a stock standard VT Clubby R8
i have no doubt a manual VE SS would probably keep up with you though... ive been told they make 270kw
