anyone look any further into this?? My car's just about ready to start putting together but i'm still worried about a few mods being illegal. I'm going to fill out one of the licencing dep. modification application forms and see how i go with that because i dont want to be in a smash and then get taken to the cleaner by my insurance company. To avoid this my understanding is the car must be fully legal/permits/inspected etc. My concerns are: Car started as 3L non-turbo calais will be: 3L (same engine number) twin cam turbo (gt35/40) calais unsure what will be deemed unroadworthy at this stage but im guessing the following would be: manualised automatic trans + transbrake ratchet shifter power output increase? vt brake conversion with braided lines (ADR approv.) head swap Cooler - 1 hole highmount aftermarket ecu - wolf v500 turbo?? enclosed pod filter things that i'm not as worried about are: forged bottom end plumback b.o.v external wastegate plumbed back into dump pipe So yeah i'm going to try and do the righty first and tell them everything i intend to do and go from there. Has anyone ever filled out one of these forms? because it's one thing to get over the pits but that won't save you if you're in an accident and they do an investigation on the crash etc. Any input much appreciated. Cheers guys, Chris

they knocked me back because my vehicle "doesn't have correct power to weight ratio" so make sure it's not tuned to run an 8 sec pass or something

i know you will have troubles with the transbrake for sure, my old boss had major issues with getting his torana licesed with a transbrake in it, i dont really see any way they could find out if you hid the button for it. Like down near your knee or something so they cant see it. Suppose its the pits you go to really.

Even with manualised box etc? Did you fill out one of thoe approval for modification forms? or just go over the pits and say i want my car inspected? Yeh obviously transbrake button wont be visible until it's registered and i can definitely see why they're illegal lol

Just fill out the modification form i had a chat to one of the guys down at the welshpool pits about seeing if i could get permits for the gt42 and i asked him about having a powerglide he said they have no problem with the car having a powerglide aslong as you tell them about it.
