Engineering does stop them defecting you, got a new placard and a letter stating those wheels have been tested and fully comply to ADR. I wouldn't have paid $400 otherwise!

I got told by a copper that the reason you couldn't go too big with wheels was because they are generally heavier so braking needs to be upgraded to counter this. Did they check this as part of the inspection?
I heard you only need to upgrade your brakes to put in a bigger engine. I went through regency with my 18s awhile back showing them the written report they went away to their little computer, came back and said no problem so if regency say it's fine then that cops full of ****. It's cops like these that get us wrongfully defected in the first place. Same scenerio with sports steering wheels. Cops see one and start rubbing their hands not realising most momos and issota wheels are fully legal with a collapsable boss kit. I think they need to spend a day at regency, let's just call it work experience ey?
I got waved over about a month ago for coming around a corner sideways not knowing there was going to be a cop pulled over there. Anyways got a warning car could have been impounded for 24hrs. tyres were below indicators reasonably bald I had a straight pipe where the cat is ( its through the cat now ) And all the cop did is shake the drivers seat and told me to get the bolts tightened up and thats all. They were pretty impressed with the condition of the car and how clean I kept it so they didnt hassle me!
