What im saying is:
If one engine has a seriously ported head and makes 380rwkw @ 25psi
And another engine has a standard port head and makes 380rwkw @ 35psi
There is the same stress on the both bottom ends[/quote]
Did jpc tell you this or is this your thoughts? I would be more inclined to think there would be more stress on the block with 35psi? My reasoning would be the turbo is working its ass off and intake temps would be higher, therefore it would be closer to the edge. What engine would last longer? 1) gt30 pushing out 30psi to make 300rwkw or 2) t04z pushing out 14psi to make the same power?
in reality, power figures mean nothing these days for e.g youll get a workshop saying they run 10.0's with only 280rwkw then another workshop runs 10.8 with 330rwkw then you get other workshops that crank out over 630+rwkw that are capapble of running into the 8's....so the story goes on.
what it runs over 400m is what everyone wants to see....good day

verry true, even 400 kws with standard rods is a big BIG ask.
haven't seen it done in the last 18 years we've been playing with rbs,but if someone has done it and can prove it ,i would love to have a word to him.

The block???
Well JPC have never hurt a block
Anyway im thinking more about conrods
In Marks opinion power is power
So there is the same stress on the conrods
