people just dont give up ok well my stock t3 seems to be holding up just fine with 15psi charging throw it
and the old one did like a good year on 15 psi no worries out of a std T3 the thing was howling when the BOV was on it then a year with no BOV and it still keeept kick'n
people need to start getting facts about the BOV or not issue
and some where it states that BOV were desighed for saftey for when the wastgate fails.
not "shhhhhh tututututututu tuttutu tutut................." prevention

it is a fact that backlash is bad for the turbine. ask any turbo specialist. no one is denying that ull get away with it for ages and it'll go fine. but that doesnt make backlash a good thing. i agree, it tends to get exaggerated a bit. i ran 16 psi through my standard t3 in my old vlt for ages with no BOV and it went fine. its like my sh1tbox astra at the moment. its got bugger all oil in it and crap oil at that. but it keeps going, even tho it probly doesnt like it. the same would go with an rb30et motor if u wanted to treat it like sh1t for some reason.
just because it doesnt kill it, doesnt make it a good thing.

a blow off valve is a valve placed after your throttle body to prevent overboost from occuring.it makes no sound unless you have an overboosting problem,it is put on an engine from the factory to minamise engine damage should the turbos wastegate fail.
a throttle by-pass valve is what car modifiers and sometimes factories put on cars to try and hold boost pressure between gear changes (eliminate lag) and to stop air reversion (reduce turbo wear).
I'd like to also know why that a car with a throttle by-pass valve also has flutter ?
I have to say i have read a few tech articles about bov's etc, also found one that proved a car ran slower using one
nelson engines don't seem to use bov's either ??? wonder why that is, u guys must know more than guys that make 1500hp street engines? so can u guys explain why when these guys who make there engine reliable don't use bovs or bypass valves etc making more hp than any of us could dream about on unleaded petrol?

awesome, but he has a GT35/40....
They dont cost to much more to replace than T3's
Anyways your not getting the point, some of you melbourne guys are running around without any intake protection so you can get a 'fatter dose'. Good knows whats being sucked through the turbo and into your engine, I know if i was buying a car from melbourne and found out it has/had a dose pipe i wouldnt touch it...
