hey guys i use to have an N/a VL auto and trust me this one was a bit of a weapon. she had as much rear wheel hp as a chipped BA XR6 and i once kept of with a VX SS with an exhaust and chip im not sure......i run off worked lowlux's everday of the week and most commodores

auto vls are gay. get a manual conversion and notice the difference. i've had a manual for 2 days now and it would EAT my old auto for lunch. Takes too long to get up to decent revs with an auto. as for losing to the lancer i could imagine that as it would eat you off the line and maybe u had a full car or something and it just didnt want to move..

Dude, don't waste your time with manual conversions or N/A mods or anything, unless it's an N/A 8cyl. You can have a bit of fun with an RB30 like doing burnouts and sh*t, but they are all slow. Just save for the next couple of years and build a good turbo engine, or acquire a standard vlt engine and drop it in. For all the money you spent doing up an N/A, you spent that equal ammount of money on a turbo engine (say $3000 for instance) and the difference will be a thousand times better in the turbo car. Guarenteed. Just save your money, suck it up and try not to cry when you get beaten by lancers for the next year or so and stick it out and turbo it. Jason.

A little tip, even slightly modified VLT's have trouble beating R33 GTST's and a vlt with a cooler and exhaust, 15psi will be about even with a GEN3.

Put 4.11's out of a pintara in it, the 3.45's are really tall, when my R31 was stock with 4.11 pintara gears it would slighlty pull on a bunch of 5.0L Vl's, even over 100km.

Not taking the piss either, but my N/A is heavily modifyed has at least 12 high performance stickers on the windscreen, and i just brought a high performance gear shifter knob before i raced him so yeah. dude my old N/A was sic bro every time i pulled up next to a nice car i would rev the balls out of her with my 1.5inch exhaust the guys would just look at me and laugh, HA HA i had the last laugh it ripped like all fast spec cars like r32 r33 GTSt's, 911turbo's, i even dragged the bat mobile i whoped him but he was just a cardboard cut out. oh iv heard too many hard fast N/A VL stories befor i read this and this just takes the cake. good luck too the n/a 6 vl boyz hey if any one with a n/a 6 vl want's to drag me at calderpark, you's are more than welcome to prove how fast your N/A is oh and my mate had a VK with a 304 brock motor in it and a stage 2 shift kit with a hi stall and he got beat by a gay MR lancer with a monsta tacho
