I'm interested to know about this aswell cause my bro is looking for a new turbo (upgrading) and he seems to be heaps interested in the monsta t70. What's it like?? Put you in your seat? Does it even compare to the Garretts?

do a search on here for monsta. there's been far more bad than good things said about the turbos.. personally i wouldn't go anywhere near them. some may last, but others have self destructed almost instantly. however, i am using one of their manifolds, albeit slightly modified to accomodate a larger PSR gate.. we'll see how it goes.. maybe the low percentage of bad reviews in this thread is due to the fact that there have been countless threads about them already and most people have had their say on the issue.

eeek, and ppl said their manifolds etc were safe, heres a quote from another forum Quote: Originally Posted by from the nissansilvia.com forum Well yea you're right i cant expect a work of art.. but at the same token you dont sell the sh*t and call it a "direct bolt on" if it dont fit... hows that sound to ya? Man these guys are just niggling for a law suit against them... deceptive information.. false advertising.. screwing people over... they love when people say "yay i got a cheap short shifter or a strut brace" wow.. positive feedback.. when theres a serious issue raised they dont want to know about it... why dont you think about it for a second instead of taking it as a personal attack on chinese people.. when your messing with engine components you cant sell these sorts of thing to people.. especially if its not made properly.. i know a few people who have got these manifolds and i suppose i'm the unlucky one where a peice of the inside came loose and went straight through the roller bearing turbo. 10 minutes old on the dyno.. hard luck you say? F*#K dat! wheres the proof you ask? i've got enough proof to make anyone else think differently about these guys and the stuff they sell.. so please dont lecture me or anyone for that matter about "cheap copies what you expect blah blah" and i strongly agree with nismoman that karma will get them and when it does they will regret everything.. and everyone they've screwed.. thats my thaught and if you dont like it.. you know where you can put it.

^^ Thats NS.com people for you. All of them backyard mechanic specials. Anyone that opens a box and puts a manifold onto a car without giving it the once over is asking for trouble. You cant trust it to come 100% perfect. Even a $1100 manifold from GCG in would be checking before it was installed into any application. Its just common sense that some people dont have, and when stuff like the above happens, they cry foul. That said, Monsta/whatever = waste of time. They will never give you what a properly matched turbo will. The comparo thread link is a great read. Have a look @ the difference in the Compressor wheels to start, the GT35 has a new GT series 6-blade wheel and the Monsta special has some odd-ball 8-blade wheel. God knows where they got it from. I'd be even more surprised if they even provide a compressor map for it

do you have to run in turbos. ive got the monsta package to put on once i run the engine in. hopefully a standard bottomend can handle some good boost.20 low 26 high . he says the warranty only covers boost to 26 psi. the product doesnt look too bad but i know that doesnt really mean anything.
