you see people throwing 5 times asmuch as that at older cars.. if you love a car and want something so bad, you will do it you dont need anyone telling you what to think or where to use YOUR OWN money.. ive spent upto 35k on my vl over the years and if i could go back ill do it over again.. yeah its good buying a car already done but there is pro's and con's for both options of buying or building! you have obviously gone with building, goodluck and cant wait to see it become something tuff!

Yeah man, go for it, there is nothing better then building a car from scratch EXACTLY the way you want it. Jus remember it is a VERY VERY long proccess. And don't get the ****s half way through and try to sell it.

exactly, i dont want to buy something like duz-10s ( no offence to owner) but its not the style/look im after... i would think about buying something with a good driveline and doing paint, interior etc... but its not the same friving a car that someone else has built, its not a virgin.

Im not knocking turbos but he has a turbo and if he builds one as well its gunna go over budget for sure,I just reckoned a cheap V8 could be a cheap alternative and end up with a V8 and turbo to enjoy the best of both worlds. i have that luxury right now^^^ i would much rather something like DUZ10S or the GTR i say go for it! it's only money and if you work hard you can always make more!!! that is what gets me by each day. the $120 a week fuel bill hurts but not as bad as driving my sisters excel to uni. build that VL, build an icon...

i say DO NOT EVER BUILD A 10 SEC VL... buy some1 elses piece and modify it to suit your style man!!! time, blood, sweat, tears and tow trucks are used in the process of building a 10 sec. vl.. shi/t happens alllllllllllllllll along the way, you should buy something that has already been through the teething stages and just enjoy it man.. if i could go back, i wouldnt have built up my vl.. in saying that.. great fun.. nearly as good as sex... and y would u want a virgin car n e way!! wouldnt u want something thats been there done that.. at least you know it works!!...lol serious note once its built 40 - 50k later, you get tiny things that just piss you off.. last night my car had a problem where it threaded the head to the spark plug... little thing but needs a heli coil to come and sort it... guess who walked to work this morning!!! LOL good luck if you do but, it'll come out awesome, your last vl looked nyycee

as do i mate, but there is just something sexy about a fully worked rb26 with the finest japanese technology poured into it. there r so many bolt ons for the rb26 u wouldnt need anyting custom brad if ur gonna be spending alot of money y dont u buy a already worked vl like duz 10's then pour another 10-20g into it and u could be up there with the fastest vls in the country no question about it. come on the sydney cruise and u will have some 500rwkw weapon pulling skids 3 km up the highway mmmmmm yum!

man dont worry about a vlct, just build ur rb26, it will shatter a vl, handling, looks, acceleration, will be better in all perspectives. Get a mental suspension setup, and mental engine package in the gtr. Dont sell it for a vl man

looks may be a personal thing but bull**** vlct is alot cooler than a gtr to me.

One thing I love about VLs is they were orginally designed as a family hack unlike the GTRs which were Sports cars from factory. Yet there are VLs around that will give alot of GTRs a hiding. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
