28-02-06, 13:23 GMT+10#48 My brothers stock VLT auto was rebuilt about 50000kms ago, it makes 163rwkw on 10-11psi and is going strong enough to keep him happy. Compared to mine which is rebuilt with shift kit and strengthed bands etc. his feels lazy between gears but still does the job.
He's not gentle on it either I assure you.

01-03-06, 09:15 GMT+10#49 cool...
what does his feel like between gears to urs?
does it just float around the redline when changing to 2nd, and urs just snaps into second ?

06-03-06, 15:28 GMT+10#53 Depends on condition of clutches/bands...should be fine as long as you can keep it reasonably cool and dont go circuit racing it or somethin silly...

30-05-06, 12:47 GMT+10#56 yeh i put a B&M Supercooler to replace my old stock bt1 transcooler and its really good. highly recommend. keeps the box nice and cool.
Steve my mates VLT BT1 stuffed up on 14psi and that was a VLT auto. he was only running the stock bt1 transcooler. i recommend upgrading to something bigger and better. my b&m only cost $150 and its a top transcooler

30-05-06, 20:50 GMT+10#57 Lookin at vlct with a n/a 5spd. Had the motor put in it. It's got a 3" exhaust that's all. When i get it i'll put a cooler and filter. Got a boost controller so i'll probably run it about 8psi. How ya reckon it will hold up for street use?
