Oh I can relate to that.. Slamming the bonnet down trying to close it.. Only to realise the accelerator cable bracket was resting up on the engine.. Result is a dint in the bonnet.

Result is a dint in the bonnet. Can relate to this I have two dents in my bonnet from cable braket and throttle , ocurred from removing the gearbox changing the angle of the engine and me dropping the bonnet shut. Good thing I have a spare white bonnet to put on next year when I get the car resprayed. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

POS Datsun my mate was working on had no handbrake, so he left it in gear... I decide to reach in the window start the ****er up, launches forward into a bearing press. I'm hanging out the window and the bonnet gets bent in half. Another time my mate is taking heater switches off a Bluebird to see why the heater tap wasn't working. Its still running, I lean in the window to ask a question, he rips at a the heater knob with pliers, slips and pushes the t-bar into drive... Luckily the car stopped when it hit the Falcon raised on a hoist in front!

My first car, a TE 4.1ltr 4speed Cortina... :P I snapped another selector fork in the 4speed and a mate had a cheap Auto. Slapped it in.. Pulled it out a week later, it sucked. :P Upon pulling it out I was in the pit lifting the auto trans away from the motor my self. Attempting to move the trans away from the motor I realised the kick down cable was still on.. I tried frantically to fit the gearbox back up to the motor, it got too much my hand slipped and the trans fell. I was covered in auto trans oil, stupid. I should have drained it!! Suprisingly the kick down cable held the trans. It didn't hit the ground. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I bought this ute to fit my 308 that i had sitting around, and i was removing the fuel tank cause i was going to run gas only, and i had fuel leaking everywhere and i mean like 7-8 litres of fuel on the ground and a container with about 5 litres in it, and the fuel ran down towards the hot water system and the pilot light set the fuel off, as you can see the front of the ute is ****ed. All the panels warped from the heat, i had 2 fire trucks out the front to help put it out, and i also set my dog on fire she's alright though, that project has been stopped.
