sorry to hear man, but for everyone's info u can insure a higly modded pride and joy with JUST-Car insurance which is basically AAMI ne way the only thing they will want u to do is to get an alarm system and possibly an imobilser aswell that complies with their standards. But as i sed man that is heart breaking but it happens to most at one stage or another and we just have to rebuild on it and try again...

Not trying to bring up the whole insurance thing, but yeah... I am pretty certain Vigil(link is on this site) would cover you. I found them to be really well priced compared to Just cars too! That sucks heaps though man. So sorry to hear!

Damn dude that looks bad, both the HX and the VK. At least you made it out of there okay though, that's the important thing.

Does a blue slip have some kind of guarentee period in NSW? In VIC if you get a Roadworthy and something major likes that happen within 28 days, I reckon you could go back to the issuer as they have verified the car is safe, when it's not... But bad luck dude...must be terrible

i feel your pain.. my photos are flashing around here somewhere of my VN that caught fire... a fuel line ruptured under the engine bay, spilt all over the dizzy. which sparked and boom! smoke comming out everywhere... its all rebuilt and fixed now (happened about 6months ago) i invested (after spending $1500-$2000 getting her fixed) $30 and got a fireextinguisher! i suggest everyone else get one as well
