Does anybody know what shifters ar compatable with what box? Apart from the mx7 being non compatable with the r33 box. Does anybody know if rb20det shifters fit r33, mf5, rb25de shifters?

Doesn't work properly though. The nylon piece on the end of the shifter fell off in my brothers car. Have put an aftermarket short shifter in now and haven't had a single problem.

I had the same problem.
The shifter did fit in but the nylon bit at the end kept falling off. Eventually the nylon just ended up cracking and falling apart. Food for te gears in the box.
Going to look for shirt shifters now. If anyone finds some good deals then let me know.

I paid $700 with a tialshaft that I never used hahah...
SUCKERS.........
Some poor guy had just rolled his skyline. I said 'mate i'm diggin deep but i'll give ya $700 for the box.' He said ok and I did a backflip.
Also I got a short shifter for it the other day. From autbarn of all places. Cost me $270 but it has about 50% less throw and I have NEVER ever felt a better box/shifter combo. Coudln't recommend one highly enough.

How do you find quick changes into 3rd with the short shifter? Personally I find the gears to be too close together.

I love it. The box is tight enough to center itself very well. So when changing from second to 3rd you just push forward and it find's third perfect.

Does any 1 no the difference between the na and the turbo box's. I would assume it would be the same deal as the vl manuals, difference in size, but the bloke i spoke 2 said the ratios are different which is the only difference.
