20-06-06, 23:17 GMT+10#44 Hey just wondering, with these au fans set up do you think the factory a/c condensor fan is still needed coz when I got my intercooler it had to go as it was in the way?

03-07-06, 01:51 GMT+10#45 looks good! I mounted a PWR trans cooler on the front of my radiator, way better than using factory for the sake of $100...
looks good this mod id be interested in doing it too, id love to not have a belt driven fan. whats the noise like? im guessing not much louder than factory

30-07-06, 21:42 GMT+10#48 Just a quik question, im about to do my intercooler pipes. But im running twin thermofans so will i still b able to run cooler pipe up past the thermo fans towards TB. Or is there no way you can run a front mount with thermos just theres not alot of room. Been thinknig bout moving fans as far over towards the battery as posable.
Or do i just run the standard clutch fan agian?
Thanks DAMO!!!

30-07-06, 22:00 GMT+10#49 you can cut holes in the guard or are u trying to get away from that?
there is next to no room if u want to run piping with no holes it will be near impossible or with very small diamtre piping

16-09-08, 11:01 GMT+10#51 Here is the pair of 40 amp relays that operate both of the fans (installed where the regular relays are near the battery, although on the other side near the air box)...
...via the Davies Craig thermatic switch (adjustable between 40-100 degrees)...
...and wired in via the factory Ford plugs.
Here is the wiring diagram provided with the switch. I used the one marked with the tiny red star on the left (Twin Fans, Thermatic Only).
http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/e...ingDiagram.jpg (http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee47/Sennator30/ThermaticFanWiringDiagram.jpg)
Of the two plugs that come with the fans, one of them is a three pin, which I assume means that fan is used also as a condensor fan for the air conditioning in the Falcon. I have a separate fan for this, so that pin (white wire) was not used.

Just so you know I think the differences between the ef/el fans are the amount of wires on the motors. From memory the ef uses a 3 wire motor and the el uses a 2 wire motor. The Ef falcon fans are more popular for conversions however (probably not as popular as au's). I installed some au fans on mine but Im probably going to goto a clutch fan for the sake of intercooler piping. Theres just no room as is.

Read the thread, it was originally done on a VL V8.
Just use an aftermarket temperature sensor (as I have above), and you'll be sweet.
