There is a datsun ute in perth i believe that ran 9.XX a few year back with a 13BT on gas and nitrous too. Is gas the new black or something.. seems everyone wants a piece of it these days. I remember when i built my rx4 a few years back the only gas cars i knew of were johns then red xf, jasons silver xe and one of jasons customers white vl that he had just build. vl_muzzas car was in the build for the previous owner then too. Jason back then was the ONLY and i mean ONLY person that had a clue about what he was doing. He said if i could ever find propane out of the bowser to run it for sure. He ran it one night in the xe on 28psi and destroyed the tyres whenever he gave the throttle a blip. Then he switched back to normal LPG and on 24psi fried the pistons. If you can get a hold of propane (i think supagas on the hume hwy in campbellfield sell it from a bowser!) then go for it!! My cars timing is now sorted so i plan on tuning it within the next two weeks. Should be interesting to see how far you can push a stock vl ignition system (read no IG5 or aftermarket computer) with a decent gas setup. Im only aiming for 200ish rwkw at the moment though with a highflow. If it all works out fine, ill let everyone know the ins and outs of my system and exactly what to buy and where to buy it from.

If it all works out fine, ill let everyone know the ins and outs of my system and exactly what to buy and where to buy it from. thats the ****. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Jason said he ran propane, that he filled himself (not from a bowser or anything) just to see how big a gain he could get from it one time only and that was the result. He never raced with it at calder or anything, but said he always wanted to but was too much ****ing around to get (have to drain the lpg tank, then get a BBQ bottle and fill it with propane, then force fill the lpg tank from the BBQ one). The days of seing Johns xf and Jasons car up dandy area on wednesday nights only seems like yesterday!! After seing both of those cars i was hooked on gas. Ive seen the red esp start as just a shell and ive never had a chance to see it running with the twins setup or even the single setup ever. Its definately the best of the best in not only lpg turbo cars, but its a standard for what all cars should be like. When Jason is back on the scene he will have people belting down his door for his lpg tuning and fabrication skills. Does that other gas vl use the standard vl computer/afm etc? Ive got a new engine with hypertec acl pistons and a crow cam, so maybe 20psi would be more to its liking (the turbo is something of a one off. it was made by garrett for the jap aftermarket scene but the deal fell through, its a vl back half with a t04 .50 comp cover and e trim wheel with a larger modified spring internal wastegate so it shouldnt be any slouch) Its got twin B2 converters, so its not like fuel supply should be a drama, unless the tank pressure safety relief valve has issues.... and if it does then its coming out Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

so u can still run gas with std ecu? so pretty much for a good set up(sumthing to handle 200+rwkw) u need the modded twin b2's and 440cfm throatal body, lock offs and thats about it?
