if you are being tailgated there's no need to hit the anchors, just take your foot off the go pedal and roll, it works for me!

im a very responsible driver, i generally sit between the speed limit and 5km/h under the speed limit (makes no differnce in total travel time and makes alot less chance of ever accidently crawling over the limit). EXCEPT my responsibility ends when people tailgate. I lock up the brakes, pure and simple. Im not kidding either, i couldnt give 2 ****s if they hit my n/a daily their the ones paying for it. Tapping the brakes is better in 90 zones etc (lock up is a bit dodgey but still do able i guess lol) but nothing works like locking em up, flooring the brakes on somebody who is close right up your ass scares the living hell out of them (when i have done it usually they lock up as well and career into the other lane. ****ing impatient morons, learn some ****ing road manners....if they dont...i will forget mine convieniently, as described above. Obviously many will call me irrisponsible, i disagree, its just people who get the ****s because my style of driving is not to go 10km/h over the designated speed limit are my pet hate.

You underestimate how slow that is and how quickly you actually stop! I never do it when there is an oncoming car in case they end up jumping to the wrong side which would be very bad. Of course maybe someone would be hurt if they didnt wear a seatbelt, which i wouldnt be suprised now i think of it, thats the exact sort of person. Maybe i should stop.

never underestimate the predictability of stupidity... what if they aren't watching what your doing and hit you at 50km/h or more...

true but it wouldnt be like a parked car being hit by one going 50km/h, as you probably know vl brakes dont wipe the speed off that quickly! I have been rear ended at 35 before and it was nothing really, cost the guy who hit me alot but i didnt even get whiplash and he wasnt hurt at all although his car was a bit of a mess (who would have known my vl used to have a tow-bar and had the metal mount still under there lol ) Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

you don't seem to realise that if someone bumps into you at 50km/h and you lose control, you could hit a pedestrian and kill them. you also fail to realise that someone careering into another lane is dangerous. this shows your lack of driving experience, hence my assumption that you were a p-plater.

Not if you had the ass of your car coloured in harlequin paint.. LOL I was always dreading some day dreamer would run straight into the back of me.. and the turn around and go... "Sorry dude, I dont have insurance" Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Pedestrian? So i do this on suburban streets now? Them quickly moving into another lane, "careering"? I already said i always take time and check for traffic fully, im in no hurry haha. Im not gonna argue that it is safe because in reality it isnt, but i make it as safe as i can while at the same time having a bit back at the impatient people on the road who cant understand not everyone wants to speed. I'v been in (not driving) alot more than my fare share of 50km/h accidents just for the record, but hey im not gonna argue i know either way i am still inexperienced, and i know this, hence why you will find if you look through my old posts how i probably own the only calais turbo in aus that is owned by a p plater and hasnt been over 120 (and that was on the highway with my mum in the car lol, apart from that it is ALWAYS 90 and below). BTW i stretched it too use the word "careering" lol. BUT once my greatest victory was this, in short detail, was coming home from work, 90 zone, im sitting in the left lane going dead on 90km/h, one car about 1 carlength ahead in the left lane also doing dead on 90, so this oldish guy flies up in his hilux work ute and comes RIGHT UP behind me, and i mean when you cant even see their bonnet in your rear vision, im a little shocked at first as i am sitting in the left lane doing the speed limit lol so i begin to slow down a tiny bit, probably 80km/h, but he still sticks, so i tap the brakes enough so i slow down but not even close to a lock up (80km/h = very fast!) and he brakes REALLY hard, obviously got a fright and jumps to the right lane, which by now has cleared for a long time ahead, and this guy, obviously now very pissed off, TEARS at what must of been at least 130km/h past me and into the distance......i come round the next bend 10 secs later, what do i see? Cop car XR8 on the medium strip lights flashing doing a hurried u turn in the direction of the white work ute that would have just gone past them at whatever ridiculous speed lol. Winna!
