If youve had your heads done already man forget bigger valves, its a 253 and big valve 308 heads are gunna be a waste, stop now or get a 308 or310 stroker kit and nitris oxcide,3.45 diff and tuffend trimatic. The one tunna will do circles.

i think sell the 253 immediately and build a 308 up, same $$ for lot more power and torque!
put vn heads on a 308, big solid cam, harrop manifold and a 750 holley or something and you'll run 11's

dont just spend thousands of dollars to prove a mate wrong. Its easily possible a guy on sc forums just made 187rwkw with one, the 253 commodore cup cars had 230kw motors too.
Problem is to get it to make that sorta power u need a fat cam with big duration and as such that means something that will be **** down low and have real crap throttle response which means big converters and short gears e.t.c, defeats the purpose of a street car really.

330hp from a 253?! wow..
well forget supercharging, it is no doubt a very healthy motor with a big cam and a lot of compression, and high compression and superchargers AND pump fuel dont mix. Unless u were going to run it on avgas or mathanol

A Mr Gasket under bonnet blow would be fine?? GM 6/71 would be pushing it!!
But talk to the pro's, as you are talking big money, and there are allot of different set up's out there.
But I'm a bit with Sinister, 330HP is very healthy from a 253, so listening to back yard guys could see that turn in to a hand grenade, with one wrong move.
The guy you want to talk to is (ummm ok he drives a yellow corvett in top door slammer) "Pain" but its not spelt like that.
