Billet crower rods are around $1800 + GST. I think I would go for the crower rods over the argo's.

I have personally seen an argo rod that has failed. The argo snapped and destroyed the rest of the engine with it. I would use std rods over argo's as the standard rod is much more ductile and is likely to bend rather than snap. For the money the crower is a much more reliable option in my opinion.

hmmm first time ive heard of a argo failing. your probably right though cause crower are made in the u.s, they usually make better products.

Crower have been proven in a lot of big hp supra's, so there reliability with lots of power and revs is there. People forget there are more than 2 or 3 good brands of rods though. The best rod manufacturer in my opinion is Pauter. They are a very unique looking rod too, they aren't I or H beam, and they have a very long standing reputation with VW and porsch engines. Some of the fastest US pro import cars run them, ARE has titanium Pauter rods in their 3RZ engine. The big plus is they are less than $1600 Australian a set, plus delivery and tax. That would still work out cheape rthan 2G for what I believe to be the best rod out there. There forgings come from all the same factory, Oliver Carillo and Pauter all use the exact same forging blanks as the start of the rod, so obviously core material isn't a question, only preference in design. 6BOOST

I didnt want to find out the hard way they might be junk (chances are) so as for Hi octane and HPIAB selling them as "US made quality rods" what a joke.

There were H beam rods advertised in the latest zoom, he is been on here before, think its spoolin or something, or Spool IMports was the name in Zoom. They are a quality looking rod, and I have spoken to him before, he has them made for himself in the US, so maybe that could be another option for you?? I think they were 1100-1200?? Similar to the REV ones. 6BOOST
