But what about the guys that risk getting a $500+ fine for their exhaust being a few db's over? And there cars getting major defects
Are the organisers going to pay for all these fines or make them go away? The authorities are not going to want to let you off the hook if you write a letter to the organisers when they can make so much profit off you.
I'm there!! Catch you all at the Vic Lake caravan park. We are camping so look out for us! Our VL's are staying home so keep an eye out for us in the mighty VP and come and have a chat.
See you there.
Steve.
Yep this weekend guys n girls, should be awesome!!
I'm heading up Saturday, wont be bringing car as it's not finished, but should be good for a look anyway.
Talked to a guy with a canery... A neat VN, done for too low. Didn't look that low. He said he was pulled up cos he had an entrents sticker on the window.... *******s...
Saw 4 or 5 cars with yellow stickers in 1 pass through town

It's a shame the Police and EPA take control of a legal off street organized event, Big deal if a entant with a modifed car drives back to his or her motel in their car. The real enthuisiast will not cause trouble it's generally the locals and wanker hangers that start **** in crap cars.
You don't see this at summernat's in Canberra the police leave you alone unless of course you do something wrong.
Well once again the cops have ****ed it for everyone. No surprise
Leith: Whoever told you that s-h-i-t about entrants being left alone this year they were talking out their ****in ass
P.S If any so called epping police read this that went on a defecting spree you better watch your back ****s!
Yeah I saw your canary today hsvkgold, and how it said "towaway only" on it... That's harsh as. Your car is farkn unbelievably MINT.
And yeah, it was the same as usual. Every second poor c*nt in Shepparton got a canary so NOTHING has changed from previous years.
CASE STUDY:
The cleanest, straightest, most original VH SL/E in the world was in the caravan park. I chatted with the guy (older type of bloke) on Sat morning and congratulated him on a brilliant car. This thing was like off the showroom floor - non modified, stock wheels, stock ride height etc..
Anyway he came back on Sat arvo with a lovely yellow sticker on his windscreen . I was quick to go over and ask him "WTF do you have a canary for??"
1. One parker out
2. 9 clicks on handbrake
3. Low brake fluid level
This is just one of many similar stories over the weekend. Numbers were clearly down again this year so congratulations to this event being killed off by over policing again.
There were A LOT of unhappy people this year that won't return anytime soon. It's a shame because Springnats used to be a blast.
My 2c.
Steve.
CHAYSR yeah their dogs mate arrogant ****s
Put the car off the road as of then told me I wasnt to move it unless it was on a trailer. fuc* em as if I was gonna pay for a towey to come pick it up when I live 10 minutes away. Waited till they got round the corner then took off ,and went the back way to deca today
CHAYSR
If the example you gave is true (not doubting that it isn't) then the actions of those police officers speak louder than any words that have been spoken on this forum regarding the supposed easing down of defects this year.
This is the reason why i didn't even consider going (I suspected that defects will still be handed out willy nilly) and nor would I in the immediate future if petty reasons such as this are used to defect motor vehicles.
It appears that the police simply don't want this event to continue.
It's a sad loss to the car enthusiast, to the organisers of this event but more importantly to the community of shepparton.

Yeah I feel sorry for the Shepparton traders that will be losing money from less and less numbers at the Springnats.
But seriously, I'm only heading to Easternats and Summernats next year. Springnats used to be awesome, but it's all over for me now
